530% Experience Scrolls are not working correctly?

This entire system is deeply flawed. They should not label things as they do. Any other MMO I've played hasn't used the % label when buffing your exp, they've stuck to a simple x's method, which makes a whole lot more sense than this ****. I'm sorry I don't care what excuses you give for this ****, this % ******** is a flawed and ****ed up the mess it always has been.

But you should get 5.3 times as much because that is what 530% is.

 

Ofc it works its just that more than half people on this forum have very basic understanding of the game they are playing, so it semms its to complex for them to understand how xp in this game stacks and works, it was exactly the same when we had 1000% xp weekend and people went into the detail explaining it but hey i guess basic math is to hard for a lot of people here so even all the explanations didnt help.

 

I wud suggest reading to this whole thread again cuz people did try and explain how xp stacks and if after carefuly reading again you still dont understand it we will try and simplfy it even further.

 

I strongly suspect that these +500% EXP to +1200% EXP and above are just coded wrong by pearl abyss.

If someone at level 60 is getting stacked to nearly +1200% EXP boost, there should be a very large and noticeable/observable boost to EXP gained without the aid of the Hubble telescope. Otherwise, all of these EXP bonuses are almost meaningless. In order to see anything substantial, we would have to get around the order of +1,000,0000,000% EXP boost.

Something isn't right with these EXP boosts by pearl abyss.

In the meantime, when you go somewhere else, an EXP boost of +1000% would get you level 66 in less than a month. Wrap that around your head for a moment.

Something is seriously wrong with how pearl abyss is coding these EXP bonuses.

If you get 0.001 xp per kill base than 530% should net you the 0.001plus 0.0053 which adds up to 0.00630. That is my basic math.

 

I haven’t confirmed if it works or not but I’d like compensation either way

 

1. Make alt account
2. Wait 1 day for loyalty
3. Buy exp scroll
4. Character 1 kills one grass beetle without scroll
5. Character 2 kills one grass beetle with scroll
6. Report back and get all the likes

 

I noticed this too. The 530% buff does not look like near what it is supposed to be. I had a combat book started when I tested it, I'll give it another try right now. Wait and see. The math should be pretty simple : if one is doing 5%/h with 400% EXP buff (daily buff + bell), he should be doing at least 10%/h with the 530% EXP buff on.

 

One big problem with it is that you never grind with just base 100% xp since you always get some bonuses to it from varius sources(pets,titles,food,elixiers,costume,weekend buff,daily buff, energy buff,bell, b-day cake buff, combat book, nightime buff etc..) so what most of you people consider base xp is actualy xp with like 150-300%+ combined buffs already applied to it which why you think you are getting less than you should when you add the 530% on top of it.

 

Ok that makes a lot of sense, however I never said it was not working. Just arguing semantics.

 

But it doesn't tho. Let's admit the usual buff is 300% : if one monster give you 1 EXP, with those buffs, that's 300 EXP. 530% scroll is another 530 EXP, for a total 830 EXP. That's still 276% more than the usual.

 

if 530% was the only bonus you have , yes

but its not, you have 15479 other % bonuses

all of them are additive, im not gonna waste my time explaining again and again

Maths is kinda magic. Nobody really knows how it works, right?

 

Normally i’d Make about 2% per day.. with scrolls I make about 6% a day. I’m very sure they work! I went from 76% on Friday to 93% right now. 100% sure they are working. I’m using book of combat + scroll + tea + black spirit buff only. 10% helmet crystals x2 and 9% title and 10% pets. And daily 200% exp.

 

Right for some reason for me 100% was the original amount, not 0. Doesn't really change the issue tho.

And that is the problem with this. 530% should simply be 530%, or 5.3 times more.
It should not require a bunch of formulas and testing samples to conclude it is only really 0.3% or whatever it actually is.

Anywhere else on this planet this would be called false advertising.
In BDO it is called "you don't understand how it works".
