I'm a nice people, so just for you, I logged it and checked it:

1, You need to go to the wharf manager

2, You need to interact with the wharf manager

3, You need to select wharf from it's menu

4, And finally you need to click check in

    5, Quit wharf menu

    6, Quit NPC menu

7, Go back wherever you was before

It doesn't matter how I look at it, it's not "just" a single click.

I would lice if they make the safezone around the wharfs a tax zone for ships.

2 million silver per 30 minutes a ship did not move inside the safezone.
First 30 minutes free or not counted if the ship moves out/is put away within those first 30 minutes. That would make a penalty for everyone that lets their ship out for days.

There should be parking fee, I agree. Then they would quickly learn to put them away, and the goldsink would help the economy aswell.

You have no problem bringing back the shopping cart, which takes a lot more effort. Why do you" waste your time" there?

In reality it's not a waste of time if it makes life better for others. OP is right, it's a selfish behaviour to let your ship out blocking other's path. BDO doesn't help to make players care about each others, internet doesn't help either. But it's still a choice you can make.

Ppl bring it back to get back their coin that they did put into it.
Otherwise they wouldn't, heck they would steal it.

    I laugh at this.
You should right titles and summaries for CNN.

Eh, if people are too lazy to put their knifes away I might as well slit their throats! They wont be bothered!

    Your crappy logic.

You are the sensationalist in this discussion.
Take your responsibilities, that's what being adult means. If your ship bothers other where it's placed, it's your responsibility. You can suggest a better way to do it from devs, but if you just stop doing anything until it happens, that's very childish.

Except it could just auto doc itself instead.

    Or an easy solution.

    On.Detect($visibility = false; $collision = false);

What's inside the safezone isn't even the biggest problem.

The things to do aren't as perverted as a tax.
    - A dock interface easier to use so you can put away your ship in one click.
    - A larger safezone around Velia's docks.
    - Moving the barter NPC on Lerao Island to be accessible from the open coast.
    - Fix of the Carrack's collision box so it doesn't go through the docks.

@Andaro if you can add that to a list of suggestion, that would be great.

Aside from the Carrack Collison box which is a different issue, the already stated answer does a better job at everything you mentioned.

Except it could just auto doc itself instead.

    Or an easy solution.

    On.Detect($visibility = false; $collision = false);

    • The auto doc would alleviate the necessity from the player. It would essentially automatically do it correctly never giving control to the user to mess it up. The only inherent problem is if the ship can not doc due to a max limit.
    • The code simply states if you come into collision distance with another ship that instead of bumping into it you would simply pass through it and it would become invisible. This way the immersion is not broken because you can see others ships, but you would not be impeded by them.

Stop asking for automated solution. They aren't adapted to every situation. It's not PA's job to babysit, we are adult. We need responsibility, not powder on our buttocks.

    INCORRECT!!!

Thought Exercise!!! When AFK fishers where brought out to sea an option was implemented to protect players from this behavior. Pearl Abyss did not ask or rely on players to simply stop that behavior. They implemented a solution in which you could prevent the issue from happening regardless of the other players actions.

No, it's literately their job, to implement features which makes the game better.

It doesn't make the game better, it's another constraint that doesn't suit everyone. It's like all the silly safety instruction and railings disfigurating beautiful vistas just because someone was dumb and didn't want to take responsibility.

Making the game better is giving easy tools for players to it themselves. Not handling your peepee in the toilets so you don't have to aim.

Wrong comparison and the fact you need to use ridiculous font size shows how little argument you have. You're bringing deliberate griefing in a debate about being careless of others. You know very well the difference so just stop it.

    Thought Experiment!

Lets examine how bad your ideas are. So if someone intentionally leaves their boat in an attempt to grief others.......... does the situation or solution change? Of course not. The "intent" has nothing to do with the issue.

Well for me, if the cities would not full of random horses/boats would be a improvement, and looking at the forum, you are the minority, as many would like it.

Just make it so that if the ship parked for too long, it’ll be targetable by other players and if it sink, it lose durability which has to be repair using meme frag and sailor lose all their health and get sick. :)
