Attacking a fort, backing out and buffing to attack, then retreat to buff again, is hardly PVP.
You obviously never played GW2 or FFXIV to know what PVP looks like.
BDO's PVP is you outgrinding/outspending and out no lifing the other player.
this event dying and losing 800 millions worth of crystals.
Shows that you never experienced proper pvp in bdo...probably because you are in a bad pvp guild or bad at pvp yourself.
And yes, i played gw2 and experience the pvp there and it was utter trash compared to bdo. The big point here is that it is vastly different and thus will be fun for some players (like you) but bad for others (like me). If you hate pvp in bdo so much, then don't play it. It's not like you have to do that.
I'm pretty sure less than %1 of the playerbase have the means to experience what you consider proper pvp in bdo.
You say that, only to turn around and indirectly say... "If you don't want you PvP you have no place here in BDO" Which I do kinda agree with you on. PvP is what drew me to BDO. But as soon as I figured out that my RNG and wallet was too shallow to compete in BDO's PvP. I pretty much lost 99% interest in BDO. I still check back every so now and then to see what's changed.
But if you really feel that way. Then what do you have against PvE only servers. That would separate those types from you. I sometimes can't follow your thought patterns. On one hand you say "You should not only be forced to PvP, but also lose time in game for being weaker at PvP." Than you go to say things like " You don't have to PvP in BDO if you don't want to." So which one is it?
Anniversary rewards is like veterans reward because new players may have miss multiple anniversary rewards
That totally depends on what you consider "proper pvp". If your for, pvping is sieges, then that is probably right. All other kinds of pvp are pretty much open to everyone tho.
I never said bdo is not for those that don't want to pvp. There are plenty of activities in bdo that have no pvp. But if the pvp in bdo is so bad, then you do not have to take part in it and can just get your pvp from other games.
Seems like GW2's Skillbased PVP was too much for you you have to base your definition on a good PVP on a Gear Based PVP. Gear By the way that is easily obtainable thru exploiting the game/Buying tons of costumes to sell or melt/Using RMT services or all 3 of those.
BDO's PVP requirement:
Must be a Guardian
Must be at least 620 GS (Takes years to get and by the time you get to 620 GS the softcap is raised to 640 GS)
Must have all sorts of buffs/tendons/perfumes
Must lower Graphics settings to the lowest
Must have no life, use an Asian Boosting service, or spend 1000 bucks a week in the pearlshop.
Must be online from 6pm-8pm PST for "Nodewars"
Any other Decent MMO's PVP Requirement:
Must be able to login the game.
But aren't players that don't partake in BDO's PvP labeled evil and unwanted Karmabombers?
Yeah that's too steep of a requirement for me to PvP in a video game. Hell it'll be much cheaper and less time consuming for me to get the boys and go paintballing 3 to 4 days a week.
Mostly not. There are a few that like to annoy others this way, but if there was no karmabombing, they would find another way to do that.
Just shows again how out of touch you are with the actual game.
Don't bother, this guy been complaining since 2016 and he is still here.
He just doesn't play the game propperly, only complains.
Once again you prove BDO is not a PVP game. It is a MMO RPG with a small PVP component.
Come one, can you honestly compare BDO to other "MMORPGs"?
Dude? You didnt quite yet?Everytime i visit forum (rarely) you always cry,you always do statements how bad game is BDO and that sucks badly comparing with other games & you continue spamming the same time that you dont quite & keep plaing the game!
I think after Janna & Blitsball or w/e their names are you are really pushing to get that 3d place of living memes in this forum!!
I love it when you afk lifeskillers think you will ever catch up. Unless $ are involve there will be more additional gear coming.
Does this info reflect the recent GLAB changes to pvp dmg on all classes?
Wouldn't the correct description be rather mindless single player grinder/idle game/afk clicker/casino gacha instead of mmorpg? Something like that?
Why are you even thinking that timeplay = gear?
Unless you have PLUS ULTRA/girl's rng or actually spend plenty of time to grind/sell a lot pearl stuff for silvers - forget of pen.
Yea - it happens u see someone who plays 3 months and is getting pen at 30fs because "yolo" or other player who plays 4years making 40x pen attempt and ending with 300+fs - you could say its rng - it is rng if u go for gear trying alone.
And thats it ^ some kind of effort, more or less - u dont win lottery if u dont buy ticket to participate.
You complaining about "catching up" miru makes me think ure not even tet gear and probably run in more or less free oasis gear and DUO accs,
so you are likely around 220-230ap/ and 280-290dp. < thats the gear u can set up quite fast after u start to play bdo now.
The thing is you are looking up to people who have maybe 270-300ap and more or less same dp like you and with bonus ap, regardless if kutum or nouver they are gonna melt mobs like warm butter (and most of 300dp players aswell regardless of class (*unless ure bad at using ur char skills xD *or if ure playing against ur counter class and its just struggle)).
Most co miru players feel fine around 240ap on miru, if more its ofc better, but if u get ur tet gear and tet weapons in some way (enhance or buy)
and start to struggle for 261 or 269in kutum, you realize that sometimes that 2-5 ap update is cost of 5-10bil per piece (like tet golden accs).
I may be wrong, maybe you have tets, feel free to correct me, tho if you havent tried to go for them yet I highly recommend you to have some fun with effort to reach "soft cap". This or other way, just dont sit there and wait for "almighty catch up mechanics". Try to get ur gear in some way and dont give up.
I think the oasis event is very nice chance to take tri gear and try some base stuffs and maybe find class you like, but it would feel kinda like spit in the face if they d just give everyone new "all tri/tet" gear and cause invasion of "short term visitors" that mostly complain about not getting something at start what most of people stuggle to get for quite a time in most of cases. Mirumok is not essentialy "start game spawn", tho many people starts just from leeching there to make fast 61-62, but is that a game? Standing on the tree and watching just exp buffs while watching yt or else? What about exploring this vast gameworld a bit and not just rampaging and crying for being a top dmg dealer? Or from the very moment u log in only thing that interest you in game is to miru 24/7?
Im totally on YES for some new loyality/timeplay rewards, could be something like VP or outfit or other "functional/costmetic" items.
Look at this from that perspective - if someone has pens and goes for caphrasing them - that 250crons or 300mil in case of outfit is like a droplet of water in the silversink lake xDDD These people dont need events to evolve themselves, nor I think that they d have much of benefit from such.
And for gods sake, I wish they d re-think new guild skills, it feels sad and lol to have 600points to spend just for storage.
Lol man. I have 620 now, after 2years and some months. But I am warrior main so I feel rather useless in large scale xD
