    • Abalone is not fished but gathered from various gather-able nodes when diving. Check the link for the relevant nodes.
    • Diamond Starfish is also gathered from a specific node via diving, from King Starfish. See link for more details and locations.
    • Sturgeon is a seawater fish species, caught via harpooning in the Juur Sea and Margoria (North) sea areas. See my list for more details of this and other fish species in Margoria. Also links for other seawater and freshwater species lists: Margoria - Fish Species List
Hope that helps and good luck.

As distance is straight-line, it is not as big a distance bonus as N Margoria (max. 150%). For info to give some idea from Grana (new Kamasylvia city) which is close to Shady Tree Forest, for example:
    • Grana > Valencia = 113%
    • Grana > Arehaza = 126%
That is further than any existing land connections; about the same as Port Ratt to Epheria & Calpheon in distance.

Old Wisdom Tree > Port Ratt is 146% when I checked.

I'm glad you find it interesting. Just glad to share the fisher info. It's well worth a trip as Kamasylvia is a beautiful world to explore especially when Part 2 arrives and Grana.

So Pacu can be caught in Kama? Its one of few fresh water fishes I dont have the guru title for yet(pre kama) and its a rly slow fish to catch due to Balenos river constantly being exhausted.

Gonna put off the Pacu title untill I visit kama I think. Thx for the info.

Kamasylvia is by far the best place for getting titles for the yellow and blue species given the much higher % of the fish tables.

Just make sure you are in the right zone (Middle). with the fish table containing the Pacu.

I also highly recommend to use a Mediah Fishing Rod & Maple Float. I have them both +10 and have been testing again the two specialist rods/floats and Mediah/Maple boosts the yellow quality % of the catch by a lot. Much in line with the tooltip which isn;t the case so much at sea. Partly due to the fact that all freshwater yellow and blue quality fish are Rare labelled on the tooltips. it will really boost your catch there.

Seawater Jellyfish are where stated just usually lower % of catch so can take some time. They are also found in two Margoria waters, Ross Sea and Margoria South. Details on that fish list.

In Velia bay there are quite a few fish tables so you need to ensure the other species caught match the one required for Jellyfish to confirm you are in the right place.

Jellyfish was bugged for knowledge in seawater species for a long time but fixed a few months ago and | got the knowledge in Velia bay so it is sure it works now.

The Jellyfish around lake Kaia are different jellyfish and knowledge gained via the musket as you read. They are separate species.

Trout was in the game and fished from one or more of the original hotspots as a green sea species. However since the fishing change in June 2016, they didn't add it back into the game sadly so we await them to fix that still.

It's possible to gain the Dried Trout knowledge as the NPCs around Lake Kaia drop trout that can be dried but don't give the fish species knowledge.

Interesting news. Eminent's rod test in Margoria shows some benefit in using the Calpheon rod. And these two rods have disappeared from the marketplace. Seems they may be useful after all.

I'm working on it currently. Kama 2 has quite a lot more waters and also even more complicated fish zones which makes it slower to fish the whole area and give decent information, especially for a map.

I have confirmed all six! new fish tables and just checking manually and mapping the areas these cover. Hopefully I will be done tonight and will update soon.

Goods thing is that PA have really made Kamasylvia interesting with lots of fish tables and the new species etc. Makes my work more interesting but that's fine with me to have this continued content for us fishers.

Just a quick update. The mapping of Kamasylvia fish tables took a lot longer than I thought as they are really mixed and tables spread right across the map.

Not a bad thing and the level of thought that has gone into Kamasylvia fishing is really impressive. Just meant a lot more checking to try and ensure the maps will be as accurate as possible.

I am now drafting the new tables and update existing for new locations. The existing List needs totally reorganising as they use these also in Kama2 area.

The map will have to be totally redone and still working out the best way to present it with the 8 fish tables that are found in the region. I need more crayons!

Bear with me and it will be posted in the next few days. If the map takes long I'll post fish tables and locations to get on with.

I will include here the fish species and notes for Grana city fish table which is what most will be interested in initially. I have more detail to add but at least gives:

    Grana city

    Fish Species
    Golden Siniperca (Rare)
    Granges D'or (Rare)*
    Spotted Barbel
    Miho Spined Loach
    Diamond Minnow
    Yellow-Head Catfish
    Stumpy Bullhead
    Sweetfish
    Goby Minnow

    Trash
    No trash

    Other:
    Ancient Relic Crystal Shard
    Silver Key
    Breezy Conch Seaweed
No Bottle with a Note or Fishbone house item reported yet.

    Fishing speed test:
    Location: Kamasylvia - Grana city
    Cast times:
    Fishing Rank: 5
    Resource: Abundant
    Cast > Bite times:

    49,30,35,35,40,37,34,25,42,30
    43,31,37,30,25,25,49,28,33,25,
    37,45,31,22,30

    Total: 25
    Total seconds: 848
    Longest: 49
    Shortest: 22
    Average: 33.92

    Notes:
    • * New species with Kamasylvia Part 2. The Granges D'or (Rare) appears a lower than normal drop rate for these high value rare species. Only available in this table, no where else currently.
    • This table is confined to the actual city walls of Grana. Moving out even a bit the tables change. To the E it is new trash only version of Navarn Steppe table. To the W it is a blue only table.
    • Initial testing shows a higher than normal drop rate for the high value Golden Siniperca which is clearly evident when fishing Grana.
    • However to balance this, it looks like the relic drop rate is around half that of Kama1 tables. This means that, despite this higher drop rate of Golden Siniperca, Kama1 tables (Atanis Pond, Navarn Steppe & Shady Tree Forest) offer better income especially with the high price of relics.

OK, I finally managed to revise the fish tables and associated notes tonight which form the new DRAFT version.

Notes (click title for quick link to main list)

    BDO - Kamasylvia - Freshwater Fishing Guide - DRAFT REVISION - 21/11/17

Note for this Draft Revision to incorporate Kamasylvia content:
    • The fishing tables and complexity of Kamasylvia, particularly in Part 2 areas, means a complete revision to the original guide and the map.
    • The fishing list with all the new tables has been added here. It is in draft form so may include some mistakes All the fishing tables have been confirmed in-game now by me through test fishing across the whole zone so should be accurate.
    • The new map is being worked on and will be added shortly. For now refer to the list of associated nodes with the main node location added to each table title which should help find them for now.
It is a draft version though all the fish tables I have confirmed personally now in-game and the locations across Kamasylvia. If you see any mistakes etc. let me know.

I'll post the revised map/s when I get them done.

Hope this helps you and do enjoy the new Kamasylvia fishing as it is really great content they have provided for us!
