UPDATE: If this is happening to you please inlude information in a post
    (ISP, PC SPECS, COUNTRY ETC)
I BELIEVE THIS MAY BE NETWORK RELATED

The game was running fine for me, this started happening out of nowhere

Videos of it happening (Towards the end you will see the game freeze)

Also suffered from this slowmo glitch
(Other users in this thread experienced this too)

Roughly every 30 seconds the game seems to stutter/freeze

    Specs

    https://pastebin.com/raw/PwR9bVfV

    --------------------------

    Some information

    1. I get 144 frames no problem
    2. I switched everything to minimum/optimization mode
    3. Updated GPU/drivers
    4. Restarted numerous times
    5. Ran antivirus scans and ensured everything is clear
    6. Checked for hardware changes in the past 2 days, nothing unusual.
    7. Ensured the SSD is fine and has free space
    8. I optimized the game with geforce experience to try and fix, it didn't help.
    9. Closed chrome (User reports said chrome was responsible)
    10. The stuttering seems to be happening no matter what settings the game is on
    11. Currently trying to repair game files to see if it resolves the issue
    12. I'm also running sfc to make sure there's nothing wrong with any system files
    13. Gsync has been enabled/disabled, no changes
    14. Ran ccleaner out of paranoia and cleaned drives/registry,no changes
    15. SFC returned no errors
    16. Repairing game patched files, but didn't fix the problem
    17. Ran DDU and completely reinstalled fresh video drivers
    18. BIOS up to date
    19. Emptied %appdata%/local/Temp, did nothing.

Have you tried deleting gpucache in appdata/local/blackdesertonline/gpucache?
Delete and restart your computer to see if it helps.

    Tried this, didnt help unfortunately
Yep tried everything still didn't change anything :(

    I've now also tried

    • Reseating all my RAM and switching slots
    • Reseated my GPU
    • Ran extensive memory tests to make sure it isn't related to my hardware
    • Ran extensive drive tests and health checks, 0% read/write fail rate
    • Completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled it
    • Updated all my drivers and windows
    • Tried using multiple VPN's, mudfish etc

At this point I'm ready to quit the game
It's completely unplayable for reasons out of my control

Would be great if a GM could chime in

You said your cpu isnt overclocked, but do you have turbo mode and C states on in the bios? How much voltage is your cpu drawing and does this fluctuate a lot? (Vcore) can check with Cpu-z or HWmonitor. If your cpu is dropping a bunch of voltage in an attempt to power save or something it could perhaps cause the stutters you see (I have a 6700k as well) anyway, just let me know what Vcore you have while playing bdo and if it varies often :o

Turbo mode was on, disabled c states
    Made 0 changes

    Also here's my cpu-z (it's a GIF image)
Btw the lag happens extremely bad during combat
While out of combat it seems to rarely happen at all

Are you playing bdo when the core voltage and core speed goes down like that, or is that just while you're idling on the desktop? Does it coincide with when the stutters happen? Do you have High performance on in your power options?

Hello! Do you know Skylake cpu's are only supported for windows 10 or higher? I'm saying this cause I got a new pc some days ago with windows 8.1 and i7 7700 and was having fps drop and constant stuttering (even in the character slot selection) no matter if my setting were high or low... It wasnt until I tried Windows 10 (without key) that I was able to play correctly.
I mean.. I read a lot of ppl saying "doesn't matter they would work fine" but for me, it didn't worked fine. Not at all. And I tried every single solution in every thread... And then just installed a simple windows 10 version in the pc and now it's perfect.

Oh and the problem was only with bdo, other games worked fine on Windows 8.1. But bdo is... bdo.

Hi this was recorded while playing the game
Honestly the stutters seem to happen randomly during PVP/PVE so I guess yes
Also I have high performance enabled in my bios if that's what you mean?

    Thanks!

I appreciate the response but I can't stand windows 10 and wont be changing operating system to play some poorly optimized MMORPG
The stuttering is only happening with black desert also, tried a bunch of other games and noticed no issues
    Rocket league , GW2 , Runescape etc
Thanks so much for the reply though really appreciated!

    Also wanted to add
The launcher "Play" button is completely grey'd out
I can click Play but it's extremely laggy, sometimes it says wrong login information
    [IMG]

It was like this before and after I completely reinstalled the game
Something tells me the game has something corrupted going on

No, I mean when you go to the control panel > power options in windows, do you have high performance checked. Also, the play button beaing grayed out happened to me when I had changed compatibility settings on the bdo launcher by right clicking the shortcut for the launcher, going to properties > compatibility, and had checked run this program in compatibility mode. You may want to undo anything youve done there. Also, I've heard some people saying their game doesnt run well anymore on winows 8 after the windows 10 FCU was released... but anyway, try unchecking compatibility mode if you have it on, and change your power options to high performance and see if that helps
