    STILL STUTTERING STILL BEING IGNORED

When the spike/lag happens, FPS drops DRASTICALLY
Dropped from 100 frames to 29 frames for 1.37 seconds

Create a spare partition and install a fresh OS to it as a test.

Run the game from it and see if your stutter issue is gone.

For me, my game was FREEZING on Windows 7, almost CONSTANTLY. It was borderline unplayable.

This persisted through hardware changes too; CPU, RAM, GPU, Mobo, PSU.. basically a brand new system aside from the storage drive (SSD).

I decided to upgrade to Windows 10 as a test; cloned my 7 install onto a new partition and upgraded that one.

The game ran absolutely fine afterward.

So, there's a chance that this is your problem too, if you're exhausted all other options. If so, won't hurt that much to try it, provided you know how to manage boot loaders.

While I can't stand W10 and would very much like to stay on 7, it's too much of a hassle to keep booting back and forth just to play certain games that run poorly on 7. So, in the end I've been forced to accept 10's atrocity for the sake of consistent performance and compatibility.

    Just got back
I lowered my RAM frequency to rule that out
Also tried disabling HPET, did nothing
Completely reset BIOS/CmoS , did nothing other than **** me over more

This is your problem though, your CPU is not supported officially on Windows 7 so upgrade to Windows 10. Windows 10 is better for games and it is hardly different than Windows 7 anyway. Just because it works fine with some games doesn't mean it will work fine with all games.

And stop being a salty weeb it is your fault for spending 2500$ on an MMO in a few months.

Just installed windows 10 on a separate SSD and the problem still persists so you're wrong.
Also don't be mad because you're poor and can't afford to blow $ like I do lmao.

I have the same problem and I have windows 10. I have a gtx 970, core i7 6700 and 16 gig of ram. My game started acting like this on dec 17 and I have tried many things to fix it such as updating drivers rolling back windows update, uninstalling and reinstalling bdo all to get no improvement. I have now done a fresh install of win 10 and downloaded bdo and hope this will fix the problem. You did not need to be so rude to Asentrix just because you do not have any problems, bear in mind that his/her game was running fine until recently.

I honestly think it's network related

Would you mind letting me know your country/ISP?
Maybe your latency when you're playing?
(Latency can be found through task manager>resource monitor>networking>tcp connections)

I have the same issue, and it started as of this morning.

It's been a bit laggy since mystic release, but the last 2 days or so its been unplayable. Every time I ghost step and double jump and serpents ascension my fps drops to 1-3 for several seconds before returning back to normal and carrying on. Like it didn't happen.

I'm more than frustrated. Im doing my first reinstall of the game now to see if it helps..

    I also have Windows 8.1, GTX 1080, I7 4820K 3.7, 24 gigs of ram.

My country is Australia and my isp is Optus my internet connection is pretty good 45 mbs down and 19 mbs up. My local ping is 10 but I am sure the latency to America is a lot higher but I ahve been playing this game since launch and my issues only just started. The fresh install of windows 10 seems to have the game running well atm.

    Good morning,
I am in the same situation: constantly stuttering/microfreeze every 20s.

Until yesterday the game was fine.
Then I installed some updates of Win10 and the game started the give problems.
I have tried also to update Nvdia drivers: nothing.

Also for me: The launcher "Play" button is completely grey'd out

Here we are the win10 update, look at the date:
Now i will try to remove all the 12/23 win10 update.

Also Australia so I'm really starting to think it's network related
Also yeah I updated windows 10 and nuked the drivers etc, updated them manually and it works a lot better.
It doesn't stutter , it's almost like the graphic quality drops temporarily on windows 10.

    BUMP this is still happening
    Windows 8.1 = Excruciating stuttering
Windows 7 = Same amount of stuttering but the stutters last half as long?
Windows 10 = Little stuttering, similar to windows 7

    I've tested this on 3 different PC's . 2 laptops and a desktop with different configurations > i3 7th gen > i5 7th gen and ryzen 5. GPU's tested were GTX 970, 1050 and 1070.

Each system was running on 16GB of ram and HDD with no SSD. I had no unusual shuttering. Going from 60fps to 55 in intense situations. Other than that had no problems whatsoever. CPU's were non OC while the GPU were pushed to max OC. All systems running on latest drivers and latest Windows 10 x64 version.

  19. wtf is wrong with the support team, is there anything that they can actually do, or are they just as useless as everyone says they are?
