Delete that sh*t from VP. Because It destroys the economy of the game, without VP we cant sell anything on MP cus we get much less profit.
I would love to win one from the market place however it is now about five weeks since I put in my order and I still do not have one. There are over three thousand preorders for it.
Its a pain but its better than not having the option. Its not a loot box, its not gambling, its just an ordinary subscription fee for an MMO... And optional. I think they should super size it get rid of the gambling.
I think what he meant was delete the 30% tax from market place not the value pack. Otherwise if you deleted it from VP then it would make the situation worse and there would be no point in buying the VP. I don’t think they should remove it completely per say. They should have it so the market tax is 15% that’s 10% silver sink and 5% to the guild who owns the area. Then when you use a value pack it should remove the 10% leaving only the 5% tax. I think 35% is way too high of a tax so should be lowered. Then to give some real meaning to the VP by having as mentioned above. Problem sorted. Also as I’ve mentioned before they need to lower the price of the VP’s drastically. Who in their right mind is going to pay £50 for a 90 day VP ? I sure ain’t and I have money.
It's pretty disgusting that a buytoplay game with an extensive pay for convenience cash shop has a "subscription" fee if you want an overall better experience. It is what it is though. Been sitting on a 4 week PO btw for the VP. Edit: since no one bothers to read what I said after this. I commented about how it's petty for me to complain about VP's when BDO is so cheap. There are much larger issues with BDO though.
This game hasn't really been "buy to play" for nearly 2 years and constantly given out for free. And the $10 when its not free or 50% off is the price of a Combo Meal at Wendy's after tax and less than a meal at Denny's. Going after the sub model is the worst line of attack as it will be the only part of their business model that will be legal when the Anti-Gambling in gaming laws start rolling out. Gotta pick your battles this isn't a smart one it just makes you look cheap, & wanting everything for free.
In 1999 you had to BUY EverQuest for around $50 USD and then pay $9.99 a month, as soon as you stopped paying your account was turned of until you paid again. Then you had to buy every single expansion that came out if you wanted that content. This newspeak term of "buy to play" is so foreign avid MMO players. Regardless if it was anyone's intention or not this all I heard: I paid $5 - $10 and I want everything the game has to offer and everything that's being developed in the future. Which is the most entitled thing I have ever heard. Pay to Gamble, however, is a HUGE problem in BDO. People spending hundreds to thousands of dollars just trying an advance because no human being that works on this game EVER has grinded for the materials to do the things they demand of us. If BDO was just a voluntary Value Pack Sub model with cosmetic only paid DLC everyone would be happier than a pig in sh*t, I know I have been through many many MMOS over the past 20 years.
You are right. Bitching about not getting everything after paying a small entry fee is very nit picky. World of Warcraft itself costs $40-$50 per expansion and a $15 monthly subscription required to play it. I wish this was the case for bdo but instead we get a predatory cash shop with the only content being more ways to grind your ass off or to do super boring life skilling. It's fun for a bit but I am sick of it honestly. That's not fun content and they purposely want it like this. Oh wow! A new underwater area and a new weapon that's even harder to enhance! Who gives a ****. They want it to feel like a chore so you can look at the cash shop to make things a bit easier. Some people genuinely like grinding but a lot of people despise it too even if they don't know it. If there was actually fun ways to make good money in the game then people wouldn't go to the cash shop as often since it wouldn't feel so troublesome. RNG is a whole other subject on its own to prey on players to spend money. People spend a lot of IRL money to achieve 1 PEN item because it's a living hell trying to get it unless you are RNG carried. I personally don't use "p2w" methods when enhancing anymore but there are a lot of people that do even if it's not by a lot. Even on the smaller scale, The fact that JoeShmoe buys a few artisans, loot scrolls, or 1-2 outfits to melt here and there is exactly what they want. I also like your insight on the fact that these devs would never do what they expect us to do in order to get geared because they know its ridiculous. It's a pain in the ass to get geared because they designed it this way but to no surprise they also designed the cash shop to artificially make things significantly easier on you. They will never change and even if the anti-gambling laws affect bdo they will just find another way to exploit us or just abandon the game slowly once the money starts to slow down. I Like bdo, I really do, but they are a greedy PoS company. Like I get that a business needs to make money but holy ****. Maybe one day we will get an MMORPG like bdo that doesn't use KR's RNG p2w system.
The only reason I care about the vp is the ability to dye the clothes when I feel like it The extra weight and storage are good too but the market place saving is the least thing I care about.
VP is the subscription. Its not a big problem... except with b2p + p2w microtransaction shop combo. We buy the game, we pay 3 subscriptions and we got dirty p2w game. Yeah... its totally worth it. 10 millions of accounts and 1-200k real users now. idk why.
You started playing when the game had a retail price just like Everquest,, the game is almost always free or $5 now. The b2p isn't really a valid line of argumentation is all I'm saying, you're right on everything else.
Not to mention kama buff which is a vp light, and the lootscroll bundle they release every now and then. Crazy is what it is. On kr they get a free lootscroll a day.
IT doesn't matter. If the game has "subscription" p2w cash shop is not acceptable. BDO is big shiny slot machine now. The Online Casino game. You have to gamble in your progression, "pay here" marks in every steps. You insert your credit card than you will get advantages vs others. And more resources.. to gamble all your money in Big Online-RNG Casino (aka enchant ). Less than 1% of players will stay in game in long term. This is the mark of "minor issues". Where is that 10M users? Or 2-3M accounts in NA-EU?
That game has given away for free or sold for as low as a dollar over the last year.... unless you bought the game 3 yrs ago when it was $50-100 then be quiet. The VP is in lieu of a subscription, it is optional. To complain about someone else paying for your subscription is pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourself you leach.
You should see my comment after that. You are like the 3rd person to comment on that yet you didn't bother to see what I said after.... Please read my comment after that. cmon guys....
