(Forgot to include Pearl Abyss in the title, this is specifically for PA's stuff!)

    https://www.gamasutra.com/view/pres...N_8_Crimson_Desert_DokeV_and_Shadow_Arena.php

PLAN 8 features realistic graphics set within an expansive sci-fi world filled with interesting and mysterious storylines. Pearl Abyss is utilizing their famous MMORPG combat system to create a whole new type of shooter.

PLAN 8 is a new exosuit MMO shooter developed by Minh Le as Technical Advisor and Seungki Lee as Lead Producer. Minh Le is well known for being the co-creator of the Counter-Strike series and brings his expertise in the shooter genre, while Seungki Lee worked as the former environment art director of Black Desert Online and Black Desert Mobile.
    --
DokeV revolves around a wide variety of unique creatures, known as “dokebi,” that grow and gain power from people’s dreams. Sang Young Kim, the former Animation Director for Black Desert Online and Black Desert Mobile, is spearheading this new open world adventure as the Lead Producer, along with Suh Won Choi, former Game Design Director of Black Desert Online, as the Development Producer. An MMORPG for all ages, DokeV is currently aiming for a beta test in 2020.
    --
Crimson Desert is set in a fantasy world on the continent of Pywel. It has been produced since 2018 by Jason Jung, former game Design Director of RYL Online, one of South Korea’s first-generation action MMORPGs. Daeil Kim, the founder of Pearl Abyss, acts as the Lead Producer and Eter Lee, former Lead Combat Designer of RYL Online, is in charge of the action combat system for the title. Crimson Desert is currently aiming for a beta test for PC & console in 2020.

While the name “Crimson Desert” was originally a region within Black Desert, Crimson Desert is in fact not a sequel, but a whole new IP. The title started as the prequel to Black Desert, but during development Pearl Abyss began to create an entirely different storyline and a whole new set of characters.

Crimson Desert does not focus on a group of glorious heroes attempting to rule the continent of Pywel, but instead centers on a host of mercenaries fighting for their lives to survive. As the main character within the first trailer for Crimson Desert, Macduff is the leader of a mercenary group with a tragic past. Distressed over his responsibilities, he must survive in the deadly lands of Pywel. Crimson Desert features both online multiplayer and single player content.
    --
Shadow Arena originated as a mode within Black Desert where 50 players fought against each other to be the last man standing. A fantasy arena fighter game, Shadow Arena features two modes, individual and team, where players will experience a unique action-packed combat system. Master the visceral, real-time action to both land attacks on enemies and evade their blows to become the last spirit standing.

The closed beta test for Shadow Arena is set to begin on 11/21 through 11/24. Register now to take part in the CBT on the official Shadow Arena website.

We're currently in the off-topic section so we can post about anything from selfies to music here as far as I'm aware. But BDO'll likely be getting some news in December with their annual Festa event! Definitely looking forward to that.

What's with all the suspicious links in your post?

Mousing over them, the addresses do not represent any official Pearl Abyss sources.

As the others said, just copy-pasted from Gamasutra, links were in that article. Gamasutra's been around for a while, and you can find direct quotes from that same page being used across various game news publications:

I do understand the link apprehension though, always better safe than sorry!

So much for 2020 Beta, not a single news on a game for 10 Month.

Almost as if a pandemic caused a delay in their work schedule and cancelled larged-scale events, like the E3 where they planned to show it again.

They intend to disclose more in the second half of the year, which they might do for G-STAR 2020.

What pandemic in Korea? With 51 000 000 people and only 23 000 infected, most of which happen 6 month ago - the pandemic didn't really affected works places in Korea at all.
E3 was canceled 6 month ago, to which almost every company that was to take part prepared Online information release of the games they were planning to show. Meaning Pearl Abyss wasn't prepared to release anything new, other than same presentation like on G-Star 2019.

They said Beta in 2020 - yet even 2,5 month after E3 supposed date nothing at all.

As for G-star 2020 - you have Zero information on what they intend to do there, because as i said they haven't released a single bit of information for 10 month.

At this point we know more about Kakao Games future plans in the gaming industry than game developer like PA it self. This is a very very sloppy work by PA. Kakao Games is really intending to stay afloat in this daring times, while Pearl Abyss is silently sinking in to the Abyss.

There are informations out there, if you know where to look.

    12th of February - 2019 Q4 earnings call
Here they confirm that they intend to showcase something during E3 and that tests are planned for this year.
    (Underlined = Questions | Bolded = Answer)
    12th of May - 2020 Q1 earnings call
Repeating that they intend to do tests this year as well as having a targeted release date for their 3 games (Crimson Desert - 2021 Q4 | DokeV - 2022 | Plan 8 - 2023). Includes talk about the pandemic and their change in plans.
    13th of August - 2020 Q2 earnings call
Here they mention that they prepare to disclose Crimson Desert in the second half of this year, hence my previous comment about G-STAR 2020 as there aren't that many events left this year.

Also, for the first time in years their number of employees actually decreased (Total: 1246 → 1203 | Developers: 735 → 711) and new hiring is delayed, both due to COVID-19.

Thank you very much for this.
I hope the small team that they laid off was their marketing team, because they have done a terrible job of spreading this valuable information to their western market.

    Q4 2021 - that's a long way to go...

@Alterist Once again thank you for the links. There is so much more information there. Like EvE online launching in Korean, EVE Online service in China.
Looks like they aren't planning on disclosing any info on Crimson Desert outside Big events.

Also their inability to accept the failure of Shadow Arena is alarming:

Give it back to Black Desert please!
