I have a GTX 1080 Can anyone provide information on there FPS and settings?

I Currently have a 1440p monitor and want to upgrade. But I don't wanna have to drop 1200 for a TI just to break 4k.

Any information would help from current users of this build thanks.

PS the rest of my build is overkill it can handle 4k just maybe not my G-Card.

1080 can handle 4k but I wouldnt expect FPS above 20-30 on remastered. Even a Titan or 2080ti (which I have) would struggle to achieve more than 40 fps on 4k resolution.

You're looking at fps in the 40s at 4K when there's not much going on, in Very High setting.
I don't remember what it was in busy towns. I prefer closer to 60fps, so as soon as I saw 40-something fps, I switched back to 1440p.

This game's engine is not optimized whatsoever. You will have hard time getinggood frames even with stronger cards/CPU

Not much more than 1080ti, the 20 series is basically just the same cards except with the added ray tracing meme and a few % more performance than regular gaming that are ignorable on games that don't have rt

I get about 55-60fps in 4K in remastered on the 2080TI on 5960X.

Believe you me, I know. Its this trash engine designed by the developers themselves.

In crowded towns too and places like Vell without using the settings in the menu to drop down the player numbers?

Have to test it tonight. At least it was always perfectly playable, even at Vell. Will check the exact framerate I get in Heidel or something tonight. Loading the assets is usually what slows down performance more when you are quickly riding into the city.

Just tested it in Heidel at the storage, so a quite crowded area. Framerate dropped down to about 45-48fps. So maybe not good enough for PVP but good enough for playing the game.

Its excatly what Im trying to say when I said game Engine is not optimzed. Its one area dropping frames dramatically and others going smooth but not necessarily stable.

I would never say that the bdo engine is really well optimized. All this popping does not happen in The Witcher 3 for example and that game stills looks a lot better.
I was merely just posting the numbers for comparison reasons.

I never said you did. I was just pointing out how bad this engine is.

The game looks absolutely amazing at 4k, I've got a GTX 1080 Founders Edition myself and that's the reason I bought it. I'll be completely honest with you I didn't have any problems playing at 4k until people pointed out to me I wasn't at 60fps+ and that's when I started to notice the difference.

The pop-in problem doesn't seem as obvious at lower resolutions, for instance on my laptop I play at minimum settings and can't tell at all.

Right now, even though I have a 4k screen, I play at 1080p in remastered where I can get up to 120fps, in towns I go down to about 55fps. Remastered looks amazing (except the fact that there is no night time anymore). I keep longing to go back to 4k though, even at high or very high settings it's gorgeous.

I get about 50FPS to 60 based on areas..... In town or crowded areas it drops to about 40s if im on 4k and remaster.

I have no issues playing the game during boss/ pvp/ pve fights at 4k with remaster and I have a i9 9900k and 1080TI
