I'm pretty sure, it will be a whip.
from guild discord:
What about this polearm?
Imagine she gets bare knuckle... her awakening is just her throwing her axe away, kinda like dauntless alt. Axe special.
Or like krieg from BL2, her awa is 2 axes and she throws em HUE , even so krieg only had 1 x.x
Reaver dragon age inqusition
I am thinking it will actually be a hammer. Seeing the Sherekhan mobs only two are not based off in game characters. The Federik and Lateh are the two mobs. The Lateh is actually just a berserker with hammers. The Federik is a shield and polearm hammer. You will see the mob stab forward as if the arm is a spear. Some food for thought.
After seeing the pre-awakening with so many smash attack.
I think the awakening may really be Hammer.
Spoiler: Axes are outdated... less effective...@5min32 (didn't find an eng one)
for those who missed it
It looks like a Halberd
Am I the only one who think that her awakening weapon might be a staff of some sort. The reason I am asking is because of the way she is holding the weapon. I could be wrong though....
You are wrong. It's an axe.
I read a post about the awakening on reddit Saturday. I'm really digging the weapon! There appears to be a celestial clock inside?
Kinda had a nostalgic moment seeing it. Okami has twin demon bosses that awaken in an icy land, Lechku & Nechku, that use time and harness twisted/dark celestial power. The comparison sparked a lovable memory of another great game from my childhood.
It's pretty laughable imo that half the comments are more directed with a dislike towards her awak. costume as if it doesn't suit her.
Funny how some mentioned it's completely different than the pre-awak...as if awakening isn't evolving LOL!
We don't really have much details on her yet and I think many people are stuck with a specific image of her.
I personally love her costume design as it's giving off an ancient celestial vibe so from my observation I think it definitely works for her.
Just by the name, Guardian, it feels mysterious and Godly. Also, peep the armor on the abs? O-O
I personally don't see how the costume isn't a fantasy-inspired version of historical accuracy. People should realize that during festivities, bear clothes were put away and the women dressed to impress. Since everyone likes to refer to showtime Vikings series, they should remember during the sacrificial gatherings and bridal ceremonies the women were not brutes. Historically, they even inspired somewhat of a fashion statement to the more liberal (in modern terms) kingdoms of Europe during some of their adventures.
The "heel" haters are not going to like this one
Well if you look closely you will notice, there is no history involved in there at all.
Basically here is what happen.
We got this super hot Barbarian character, with her over sexualised armor from some very very cold snowy mountains , that wondered in to Kamasylvia one day, and totally became a Fan-girl, even changing her tattoos to Kamasylvian.
Now she is a Magical girl pretending to be an Elf.
But it's just a phase.
She will be back to normal once she get her Succession.
I looked closely. The original would be akin to Hollywood depiction. Here's what barbarian women looked like fighting against the romans.
