are they selling payouts in exchange for real money that is not allowed correct?
As if anyone cared at this point.
They are probably using PayPal. But as Tharnaduil said, who really cares. Kakao doing too little too late.
Yes epicnpc has a # of avenues that are doing this... It's people with numerous guilds. They rotate hackers to fund the money from sea hunting before those accounts get banned, once they're banned they use their 500+ accounts on standby to keep it going and rinse and repeat that process , since the GM's do not shut the guild down and only ban the hackers, the funds stay intact.
They suffer no actual losses outside of a hacker account which is minimal to them ESPECIALLY since they just did the event where if you level a char up to 56 you get the account for free promotion... It wasn't surprising to see a massive group of the same type of players with similar names running all in unison being controlled by 1 person who was obviously using 1 keyboard/mouse to control multiple VM's or Computers.
They then charge real money for weekly payouts. Legitimate guilds also were charging for gifting pearls and/or real money but it's more so the hackers.
The person paying for the payouts essentially doesn't have to worry, because he's simply following the game's payout system and nothing more. "Oh they seemed like a cool guild so I joined" , while it's obviously fishy to join a guild then instantly receive billions of silver, they physically can't do anything because it could be legit and he's not essentially breaking any ToS by joining a guild and receiving payouts.
The payout system is a joke, and it needs to be heavily revised, it causes so much imbalance in this game and then the PEN-Cron progression on top of it has made this game a p2w joke , way more than it already was. At least before the p2w was essentially locked behind active game play like the naphart tent (actively grinding) and simple life skill benefits like lodging and other things like weight , etc. with artisan's memory being the obvious biggest p2w aspect of end-game progression.
Now you can swipe your card, and get a 2-3bill payouts for 5+ weeks straight and be one of the richest people in the game, because I spent $1,000+. Cool stuff.
Currency in this game is going the same direction as it does in other games. It keeps devaluating until eventually the numbers get so big they have you have to calculate in billions instead of millions.
It will happen here also. It's just a matter of time.
We are way past that point already. Every high end item is being pre ordered for 10-20+ billion currently.
disabled gifts have nothing to do with selling payouts. Kakao simple do not care about them
Also i don't care if anyone buys payouts with Paypal or if they buy 100 costumes, it's the same thing official p2w or unofficial, the only difference is who gets the money.
No ptp trading or gold sellers will come no social intrraction ... looks like that worked well.
Paypal and stolen credit cards.
Guild advertises in World Chat selling 13bil for 200 bucks.
Player agrees and joins that guild for that week and transfers 200 bucks to the guildmaster's account.
Player receives 13bil from weekly payouts.
Player leaves the guild.
who cares... in a p2w game idc if there are hacker dogs puppets whatever...
I dont consider a p2w as a serious thing... whats the difference between a legal p2w and an ilegal p2w??
nothing, well for us "players"... is the same sht... p2w at the end...
just take it izi and enjoy this casual game...
The Cashshop helps your game by keeping it online. If everyone stops buying pearls, it wont be long till BDO goes down.
Selling Payouts is wrong on many levels, it destroys the balance of the game and economy, it promotes using of hacks/exploits since you can earn RL money from it. Any noteworthy game bans goldsellers.
Watching regular guilds, most if not all Sea Monster Hunting guilds selling payouts in World chat, and not get banned, that should immediately ring alarm bells on your head.
Now if your not concerned about this, then you must be a user of the hack or have recently bought payouts. Either way, enjoy your Bless Desert Online.
Let us see this from the other side, its better than doing nothing.
At the moment, BDO might need a progression wipe..a fresh start. But keep all the pearl items/costumes/ etc players bought.
Only do this thou, when they can actually start identifying and banning everyone who has every used hacks or bought payouts.
And if they remove Payouts from the game.
Keep in mind its come from loser who left BDO and keep posting sht on forums.
alot of people are unaware the fact that these buyers are actually making their sea monster payout more sustainable.
one of my friend was hoping to recruit as many buyers as possible to fill up the slots for payout.
Every buyer missing means he needs to fill it with his alt account and that means 1 more alt account to do the hassle of transferring all the silver from alt to main through caphras stones, this process is very slow but the only true way to transfer silver from one account to another.
Yes they do that and yes it's not allowed...but how do you want to find out?
There are no ingame mechanics involved exept a player joining a guild for some time...can't determine by that if someone bought payout, if he's just a normal player who joined there, maybe someones friend they wanna help.
kakao should ban guilds and people abusing.
