To put it shortly, it's not that kind of game where so called realistic protective armors are used, this game, it is totally different design. This has been discussed many times. Not that I'm trying to insult, but if this a big problem for you, you should change the game.
One can still hope- bump~! Let's hope all classes could get some cool actual armor along side the more flashy stuff. something for everyone!
