Tell him the truth but offer to powerlevel him to 56-58 first so he can decide for himself. If he does, he'll have to be prepared to pay up though for costumes. From 58 maybe you could level an alt together with his character.

Tell him to go play outside. The only siege in BDO is waiting for PA to starve out the playerbase.

yeah grind those ogres for a whole weekend for a chance to get 1 ring, when you can grind at somewhere else that can net you 5x more profit. just catch up by playing slower 4head.

you literally proved what I said is correct by proving it yourself :)

Be a good friend and tell him to play something else especially since the shiny goal he sees is just a s-h-i-t-s-h-o-w with horrible performance and lag (if it happens at all)

Well.. Tell him the truth, it does, but sieges are basically endgame, tell him not to expect to be doing sieges straight away, he has no knowledge on the game, his best bet is to explore the game first and learn the basics, he doesn't even know if he likes the game, remember BDO is not for everyone, other titles have done so much damage to the gaming community and people expect this game to be the same.

Tell him how much time you were karmabombed
Tell him how much you fail TET, and how much that you cost to try again, and again, and again
Tell him how much you remove and install BDO, and all reasons
Tell him how much time he needs to up 61 -> 62
    [...]

Tell him that forum is fun.

"big large PVP battle with castles , etc" you'd have more fun playing rust, this game has been doing nothing but going downhill for the past year. devs may read things the community asks for and vote for, even on the front page, but don't care at all. everything on the forums is complaints right now, and has been for a while. I have a bit of gamedev experience and it takes like 5 minutes to put the new update in and click "build" and compile the latest version of the game. they'll probably release drieghan around christmas to bring players back to this scam. as our king Lacari said, this p2w finally put the nail in the coffin. if your friend plays this game tell him to get used to the devs spewing ******** lies haha. I'm done, feel free to quit with me m8. [IMG]

It all depends on how much he plays and his luck with RNG. Of course, if he has money he will progress a bit faster.

Right now, it's actually easier for new players to catch up so I don't think it has to take two years.

how long would it take in your opinion(time plus hours played daily), if he wasnt willing to swipe beside value packs and starter pets and some little things?
how long would it take if he had a nice sum of money to spend?
just to put things in perspective :D

Had a similar situation when I first started playing this game, and even now, I do not recommend this game to my friends.

    1) the game is still region locked for some of them.
    2) the power creep is not just time based but income based.
    3) the end game pvp scene is dead.
    4) you will run out of novel pve content before you hit any kind of gear wall
    5) game is still more efficiently played solo after all these years.

Pretty game. Atmospheric and flashy. Best combat for worst sense of "accomplishment" (oh, I got lucky on an rng enchant or rng resist-- that is not rewarding). But we who have been here and are still pay-to-playing do it to play dress up and reminisce on how the game was, and what it could be in case they ever decide to get their act together.
