really only been the past 3 days. I've not had problem before then.
someone is mad af lol
happening with steam now.. at least it is for me.
Yep. Happened last week i believe. Can check the forums im sure there is a post of them getting DDos'd.
I can't get into Steam either....
Not mad, just curious as to why people do this... do they DDoS because they have nothing better to do? lol
NVM, steam is working now.
Actually Steam is down as well... this is a network problem in NA in general.
I have think the same thing lol
Nothing, they are being ddos. There is no known protection from it. Feel free to google or youtube ddos explained. But to surmise....Idiots who download illegal content or stream illegally have backdoors often installed, those backdoors are used when a "switch" is flip to flood a server with data. In fact in 2017 the biggest ddos happened in which 17 million computers were triggered crashing sony's servers.
It is estimated that over 300 million pc's are unknowingly part of the ddos army. there is no real safe guard against it. There are "scrubbers' which limit the data flood by a fraction. But it won't stop anything other then the slowest and smallest flooding attempts. DDOs are not detectable by your ISP, as it appears to be normal traffic on their end. To comprehend the sheer magnitude of data Imagine if I sent 10mb of data from your net to BDO, using a ddos network on 12 million pcs. that's 120,000,000 mbs flooding on top of normal use. In fact you could be apart of it right now, and not even know it. And 10 mbs is a very small attack btw.
A good video for those interested on the subject but too lazy to read extensively on it. Short answer, you want to stop ddosing...easy. Stop downloading illegal material and stop streaming illegally. Also reinstall your entire pc. This would eliminate ddosing if everyone did it, unreasonable but every 1 user aware who removes it is 1 less drone in the army.
did you forget they screwed the russians? they have a good reason to be angry...
Ddosing shut down youtube not long ago. Ddosing can shut down the entire net to be honest.
STEAM isn't down. steam players play on kakao servers after their steam launcher login..
same server, still down
XD wait is it u?
I remember a few years back, Guild Wars 2 had a DDoS attack, turns out the hacker group lizard squad was behind it. I hope it's not them.. I thought they all got arrested?
These retards better give us Compensation or well start a riot
i'd say servers semi-stable atm
DNS protection prevention services
https://www.cloudflare.com/ddos/ this is just an example
This could also be a DNS flood
Ddosing isn't illegally in most the world.
Also impossible to trace. As all 10-17 million pc's elts say, are all equally suspects. A good way of understanding why is to imagine if 1 billion bullets flew around you from 1 million guns, and then imagine trying to trace each and every shot. And the guns are separated by hundreds of miles.
No, I just have the same icon as Jello (Rhué), GM of Diadem on discord. >.>
