If they get enough tickets they'll probably give a set of coins to everyone via a timebomb mail but they could care less about your schedule, this game caters to the unemployed.
Is this also causing random client crashing? Because that is the problem I have (I think) Go afk for a bit, come back, game is just not running anymore, and my desktop is all that's happening.
Yeah, the DDoS thing makes their servers choke, and so it'll disconnect you and drop you like a bad habit. (Crash to desktop usually on your end.)
This is due to server overload. By being flooded by millions of pc at the same time world wide vie ddosing. Probably some fish botter who got banned pissed off.
A decent video explai9ning ddosing for those ignorant on how big of a problem this is in the tech world.
The fact that infrastructure protection services exist with PoPs to mitigate incredibly large DDoS attacks and yet here we are with an attack basically wiping out a whole day of play in NA is mind-boggling. Kakao is making cash, and some of it needs to be put into keeping things like this from happening. Every time it happens they just go "aw geez aw man ah that sucks so much I'm so sorry guys nothing we can do aw geez" and it's absolutely infuriating.
Little heads-up: I got dc'd after making it barely through the city part of Altinova, at 11am gmt. Thus i guess the issue is far from actually solved. Actually, by the time i made it back in (3rd or 4th attempt) i had barely moved 5m from where i started. Oh, and every time i get dc'd my graphics get set to minimum wich is pretty annoying. Could you at least expand scroll lifetimes, event and weekend buff by a day or two so people don't loose the use of those on top of the general playtime? Oh, yeah… you could also try to keep the more important stuff, like, say, server issues, up front on your forums/twitter/etc. Running in unaware is bound to be even more frustrating than it is anyway.
