They are remaking all awakenings along with successions, since successions use new particles. I mean, only skill effects.

While I think some effects should be upgraded, such as low resolution fire that we have, I don't think this is the way to do it x__x Recently they already added the yellow spark hit effects when hitting targets, and now this damn. Some of them I can tolerate but that crosscut is just way too much, considering it's an often used skill too. I get they made this so it fits more with succession attack effects, but I just wish there was a way to somehow keep the old effects. I don't like that the only option would be to reduce effect opacity :/
I think putting these over-the-top skill effects ruins the effort that went into making character combat animations. That is the thing I like the most about this class but I might be the minority. Vindictus spoiled me.
But I have hopes it can work out when messing around in settings :]
Wait wtf, forget the particle effects, tell me about the damage numbers.
