I think it's freakin' hilarious. Nothing wrong with an occasional infusion of silly, laugh inducing stuff into BDO. I probably won't do it, cuz I don't have the time for dating. But Crio... Seriously, who wouldn't want to date Crio?!
I'm awake now. Just....wow this is actually a thing. I could see if NPCs actually had character and moved around like other MMOs. This is just so awkward. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Still i don't get it, does this work with one char or the entire family? I mean, the amity is family-locked
This dating system is useless right now. Heres a suggestion to make it worth doing. Make the NPC you date for the week you won them as a usable item, Doesn't replace the NPC where they are in game, just give us a copy of the NPC we can spawn, this could be a like a temporary decoration item so the NPC roams around your home, or have them give REAL benefits, they can be summoned like a maid, or be summoned like a pet to pick up items and follow you around. After that week is over this feature/item expires, somewhat like temporary outfits etc
Seriously though, in what other MMO do devs implement NPC dating BEFORE player dating? I know they are shooting for this whole new experience thing but they are heading the wrong way...
Personally they would have did better just adding a player marriage system, unless this is a prelude to that? Who knows, but i will say i can understand they wanted to add something but they would have did better with player marriage than this, and its not like they don't have examples to go off of. Maybe make it to where you get something out of it with having the RP aspect. Like in FFXIV you get a 2 seat mount, and something for your character's look, and a ring that teleports you to your spouse( i could be wrong about the ring). You know something like that, and tweak it to fit into BDO.
Yeah, playing dating can be a fun element to these games. Here is a link to an Age Of Wushu wedding, The coupling added elements to game play like skills that only worked when group etc.
Do you realized that almost no females playing this game? implement marriage in this game would be a horrible horrible error with terrible and disgusting consequences. If you want IRL girls to marriage i recomend world of warcraft / ffxiv Ps.they are all cracked anyway
