The whole enhancing system is a gamble. Only thing Artisans do is multiply said attempts.

I'm FTP so yes it is still gambling to upgrade or in most cases degrade your gear. The chance to win (upgrade) and a chance to lose (degrade)

Yes enchanting system is random/gambling, but artisan's not a gambling, all they do is convert your money into in game play time - instead of farming more memory fragments you buy artisan's, time is money, if farming X memory fragments will cost someone more money than buy equal amount of artisan's, why should they lose time/money.

Have you ever gambled before? What happens when you get a streak of losses, what most people do is buy more chips.

Artisans is essentially that because it multiplies your attempts to x 5.

Once again, Artisan's not using into repairing gear, they increasing repair power, you pay money instead of playing game. If you don't want to play game and choose to pay, its your own decision.

You came into the thread assuming stuff about me and made fun of / attacked me instead of arguing anything I brought up.

I have not quoted you since just calling you out for this.

Since that you have done nothing but made up stuff about what this thread is about and raged at everyone you could.

Are you mental? What is wrong with you? You are so angry at me that you made up stuff and put, IN WRITING, words into my OP just to satisfy and justify your angry rhetoric

Ok are you defining the artisans purpose is to multiply the repair durability of memory frags.

What's the purpose of repairing the durability of the gear?

Hmm, what would you suggest? How do you think they should earn money from BDO? I mean i think outfits alone could bring in a lot of profits for most games because people love them. But then to keep that part fair and for people to not cry "p2w" they couldn't allow people to sell them to other players. So, people would only ever buy 1 of a single outfit. Subscription base? Hmm, but then most people would cry about being forced to pay money to play the game they have grown to love. Maybe you just prefer to pay the initial price for a game package and never pay another penny, right?

Yes problem is you make its look like Artisan's some kind of casino chips, which they not, so called casino, is enchanting, and so called chips is memory fragments which is in game items you buy for in game money, artisan's reduce amount of memory fragments you need.
Once again, you make its look like playing game impossible w/o paying money.
If durability at 0, you can't use it.

Why would it go to zero?

The design is leading to the point of the reason why it has durability damages. It's like your casino comping you with $100 dollars free bet on any card table. It's not gambling because it's basically not your money but the design is to put you on a table to gamble said voucher.

Once again, enchanting system can be called gambling, but its game mechanics, at this point its just justifying " i don't want to grind, because someone just pay money" point of view and what more important ,removing Artisan's won't change enchanting system.

I didn't ask for its removal. But you said it's not gambling even the mechanics of how durability affects and the reason why it's made is clear as day.

Yes Artisan's made for company to make money, from people who valued its time more than cost of Artisan's, its clearly as day. You not forced to buy them and they not required, you can just produce amount of silver to cover amount of Artisan's you want. Converting real money into game progress can be called as whatever , but not gambling.

It's a MULTIPLIER. How are you producing something that people pay for to MULTIPLY their attempts?

Converting real money into an RNG base on percentages PROGRESSION is called gambling.

Why are you stuck on artisans? How about theos orb and your fiery? How about horse breeding..you CANT make a t8 courser unless you use IRL money. How about costumes and gear

Ingame progression is tied to IRL currency and gambling. Period.

It doesn't stop p2w Bob to get more memory frags by in-game mechanics either. So he has a multiplier x 5. All of this motion of acquiring mats by it's design is to get to the end game of getting the best gear.

Who do you think wins someone with a x 5 multiplier (not counting the unlimited crons etc) or the one that just getting it from in-game mechanics ;)?

Who is these people that check the PEGI before brough a game? Its does not exist. If there is any. It's grandmothers 0 IQ who know what to cook and make their rosary. Aka not gamer.

    PEGI system is completly useless.

A totally useless tag that has no real impact and cost money and mostly use for Censoring game.

It's not a ****ing Tag who will prevent your mental weaknesses.
If you have gambling problems, you would CONSULT a specialist..
That's how you solve your problem

Its FOR people with gambling problems and their support groups genius.

If you dont have addiction issues your correct it does no good. But then again do you yell at the FDA for putting ingredients on the labels for those with food allergy's?

    Only on BDO forums:
    > a player suggests that the game should be labeled with a small icon because the game contains mechanics not appropriate for players that could be too young to be fully aware of what it is. Thus are unable to make a rational choice with their money.
    > is being called the ''worst kind of human being'' because they are complaning and raging.

Everyone knows gambling is an adiction and that you should consult a specialist for it. That doesn't change that a lot of players here are probably too young to gamble as per law in most EU countries.
Not everyone here is an adult fully aware of what they do with their money.
I'm not some old granny with a rosary who doesn't play this game, or some overly protective mother who screams at icons on the game titles because my kids shouldn't ever see the sight of an ogre bleeding in a videogame, and have my child grow up under a glass bell completely detached from relaity.
I'm 22 and I played this game for years. If there is a slight chance that someone will avoid this because it could evoke some sort of an addiction at an early age, or if someone who is already addicted will know to keep out and not touch it, then the icon will help even a little.
It literally hurts no one, it can either be useless in most cases, and help a few that need it.
