Spoiler: Horse Boss Gear Idea Horse Boss Gear Idea This idea will add a boss that involves horses and Training Lifeskill Because it is still Boss Gear… What if they designed a new boss, an evil Krogdalo? Goal: Tame Krog’s Nightmare. Main Phase: A combination of everyone throwing enhanced catching ropes (a new item) that will “deal damage” over time to the boss. (may or may not require the same spacebar spam). Preferably while mounted (currently not possible) Throughout this process the evil horse will be stamping his hooves and sending out waves of fear that can knock players off their mount and cause their horses to run away. (Higher DP on horses, less likely to fall. Higher training rank, less likely to run away). Optional Phases that may be too complicated to include Would take place before the Main Phase listed above. Phase 1: Lure the evil horse. Players have to run away from the evil horse on horseback to lead him into a trap (faster horse, less likely to get trampled). This process will tire him out. If designed where he has to run through a confined space (rock walls on either side) he’ll be constantly bumping into the walls to deal damage to himself. This could also drop rocks on the players that they will have to avoid while racing along. Phase 2: Trap the evil horse When they arrive at their destination, players will get behind the evil horse and repeatedly Charge him into a trap field. Once the evil horse is trapped and calmed down the group will start the Main Phase of throwing the rope. Extra: I don't think players should be able to be killed by the evil horse, but their mounts can get severely wounded to the point they are low hp (doing that wobbly dance that happens when stunned) and the player has to take time away from the "fight" to take care of their mount. The more time they are spending curing their mount, the less time they are helping the "fight" and therefore will get less mats. This encourages players to come to the fight with high tier horses that have reasonably enhanced armor. (I say reasonably because it shouldn’t be required to have full +10 Granverre to be able to survive against him). If there must be a combat related stage it should be mounted combat (but I'd prefer this after they revamp mounted combat in some way). This boss could also reward training exp (and those with higher training might get extra mats?) An additional Idea: Krog’s Nightmare Summoning Scrolls (Solo). Another option for players who do not want to face off against the World Boss version can purchase Summoning Scrolls where they can tame a miniature version of the evil horse. It will reward less training exp and mats, but can be done at any time of the day and will not require the assistance of other players. (There could be a party variant with a medium sized evil horse?) New Items: The enhanced taming rope An elixir that gradually cures your horse when stunned by the stomp Main Rewards: Dreamhorse mats Horse Boss Gear Mats Krog's Nightmare Summoning Scrolls (Solo) ______________________________________________ So that's my idea if it has to involve bosses. (Higher training rank and more owned pieces, much faster to level). Bonus Information: Gives incentive to have higher Training Rank Doesn't make the progress players have put into their Granverre in the past year suddenly a waste Comment #14 -weekly boss- Revenge On Gula! Current Complaints Involving the Gear Set: Has nothing to do with Training Lifeskill (cont. to make this lifeskill useless) Stirrups do not have brake stat There is a wind set (fits pega) and an earth set (fits uni) but then an ocean set (does not fit doom) The absurdity of the material requirements do not fit the reward (obtaining the gear at its current state) Currently there is no real reason to want the gear. The skills should have been connected to Training lifeskill and the appearance (gear) should have gone to pearl shop as a costume. Why was Granverre forgotten already? There is nothing fun or unique about obtaining this gear set. It is the same rinse and repeat grindfest that nearly erases the previous gearsets usefulness.
