The data shows otherwise. None of the players wanted to fight ;)
Eh. Everyone misses the easy solution.
Make the mobs harder - increase the time it takes to kill them by 10 by increasing health and defense. Then increase the xp, skill xp and drops from each mob by the same.
Instead of needing 200 mobs for a rotation everyone would now need 20. 10 people in an area that currently supports 1. No xp difference, no earning difference. The only problem grinding in this game ever had was that mobs are too easy to kill (outside Ackman etc.)
If that is the case why does the game have multiple mechanics which actively discourage PvP?
Playing on a bell channel should be survival of the fittest. You don't have to if you don't want to fight for your spot.
Are you talking about karma? Doesn't discourage me. Or do you mean something else?
Its not just Karma. Its the crystal breaking, the gear downgrading, Valencia jail and xp loss that comes with it.
there are a few things that aren't really smart if you want to grind in peace.
1. go to sausan and pirates
2. go to other decent grind spots on channels with a bell
3. go to places where new quests are currently running
In other words, if you're currently going to Nagas on weekends on a bell channel, don't be surprised when it's packed lol
That's wrong and *uhh* your link is broken. ^^
Those are risks, you can easily minimize.
Even better, you can "transfer" the risk to your enemy. Berserker > reduce their HP to around 10% > grapple into mobs > they are losing crystals + XP.
This does not account for many other locations. The original example has NONE of those conditions.
On point though, why do areas support 3 players again?
Lol, you don't have any data to prove otherwise.
If they didn't want people to PvP, they wouldn't have included it in the game. If anything, they encourage it, by creating limited resources to start conflicts.
Don't assume they have any idea what's going on. They just copy paste mechanics from another game.
Why should anyone assume you know better than the game creators? I'll stick to what is known rather than assumed and you don't know ****.
Or PA's record of repeated failures that where obvious to avoid?
You really want to take the side of the developers that released an event for 1 PARTY PER SERVER?
How is that 1% exp loss doing?
How was the Kama release?
How are those camp tents working out?
How's that PVP balance working?
How many months after the Valencia release before it was revamped?
You should know better than to even pose a question of who has superior game concepts.
You think you are ahead in all of those categories?
What event was that?
It was fine at first, but the developers were right to remove it because at higher levels it becomes too harsh. They should look at replacing it with something however.
Was there a problem with Kama release? I don't remember any issues, but feel free to refresh my memory.
No idea, haven't used them. Haven't seen anyone in game complain about them either.
Now that I'll give you.
Was it ever revamped?
Well, when the options are you or the developers, I'm going to vote for the developers because 99% of the time your threads are click bait. So much so you'd think you were getting paid for them.
You seriously failed this test. There was a massive issue with Valencia for months that was talked about in the community for months. Kakao had shown us a written request to make changes to it. It was updated on multiple occasions months later. This is a critical part of BDO's past. You almost had to not be playing to the game at all to not know this.
The same with other issues like not knowing about Kama 1 vs 2.
...any yet, here I was playing the game since launch for almost 2 years straight now, I don't recall any "massive issues."
In fact, I remember as soon as it came out I started the quest line and completed it in a few days with no issues. Didn't run into any problems through out the region either.
I think you are the only one failing around here as usual.
