you got those numbers mixed up

    The game is
    80% Grinding PVE
    17% RNG
    3% PVP
You're not pvping (and winning ) against ANYONE unless you have full boss gear or TET everything so that's like atleast 40-60hours into the game.

**** is too long, also.... korean mmos are not always p2w bait, if u ever play nexon games, most of their shop helps u win in ur early game, but mid and late game are still not p2w.... aeriesgames Grand Fantasia, p2w right off the bat, +18 gears with 100% success rate with shop, then all that exp scrolls available, mounts that run faster than anything u can find in the game, u just gotta grind to the max lv and done, if unwilling to p2w, hard stuck lv 40 for gears, then 70 for gears, then 85 for gears, when i say hardstuck... u let mobs kill u for about 10 minutes just to not level up for monthsand months till u get catch up on gears.... or pay $20 for lv 40set u could used till 70, or $20 more for a 60 set u could use till 85,

When every new feature you introduce in your game is designed in fine to drive people to your shop, you don't even need to be P2W to have a toxic unethic monetisation model.

Thats why I stated not all of them......

Sadly....Nexon has P2W stuff as well. As well as forced Pay 2 Progress. All but a very, tiny few, that comes from Korea, will have some way of nickle and diming you for 10x to 100x more than you would spend playing a Pay to Play mmo. And the korean mmos that dont? I seen them die within a year. Either due to poor content, or just not bringing in enough money for their investors to wanna let it keep going.

My perfect MMO? Would be this.

A fluid Action Combat system like what BDO has.
Massive Seamless World, Seamless like BDO, but Massive like ESO/BLESS Online.
Pay to Play Subscription with Cosmetic only Cash Shop, like FFXIV
Superior Storytelling, Music and Sound Effects like FFXIV
    Powerful realistic graphics like BDO
A ton of side things you can do like FFXIV has.
Basic Party system consisting of 1 tank, 2 dps, 1 healer, 1 support, or whatever mix of. Like how TERA tends to have it.
Non Instant Fast Travel, either get a mount, or a mount licence, or gain the right to flight thru means, but limit where you can go via flight.
Monsters and Bosses that are scripted, but have Advanced A.I, as well as throw in Enemies and bosses that are not scripted, just to change things up.

    Basically have both.

Infinite or near infinite progression. For Crafting skills, basically alot of what BDO has, but instead of just plain Level, Alternate Ability Points, or Merit points that are near infinite, like what Everquest and FFXI had. To balance this out for actual content be it openworld dungeons and instanced dungeons, both of which id also want. When doing Instanced Dungeons, or PVP, the overall stats you gained from Alternate/Merit passives get reduced a percentage.

Lets say their is a 10 Man instanced Raid Boss to do, Standard Mode, can use FFXIV for example, to make it fair for those who dont have as much in Passives as vet players or neckbeard players, all passives get reduced by 80 percent. So that additional 1000HP becomes 200HP, which is only a very slight advantage but will not make up for lack of skill. Then say you do a extreme mode of that boss fight which can provide better gear, all passives then get reduced by 95 percent, thus keeping it even more fair, but at least if your the type who put alot of time into grinding and bettering your character, you at least will get a benefit of sorts.

PVP modes can be similar for this as well. Would also like it if their was passive ways to gain merits/alternate points as well, such as AFK Crafts and activities like what BDO has.

As for PVP side of things, certain contested areas, making up maybe 5-10 percent of the overall world, where you join a faction for them with some form of checks and balances system so one faction doesnt overpower the other via numbers, which can give rewards strictly usable for PVP only. As well as instanced battlegrounds with varying mechanics like what WoW BGs have.

At this point, the only developer capable of making such an mmo, be successful with it, and keep any P2W and P2Progress out, would be Square Enix, and likely this kinda mmo will come from them 4-6 years from now, since FFXIV isnt gonna reach the end of its story for at least another 3 expansions. As much as I loved FFXIV, and everything it has, I couldnt take the Themepark feel, isolated zone world and scripted Tab Targeting anymore. But my perfect mmo? Likely wont happen for another decade or longer.

That response was very meme of you.
I'm pretty certain that pvp mode is disabled until i think somewhere around level 40. So lets say you man handle the game completely ignoring quest and are guaided to all the hot farming spots so that you can pvp and then you activate it do you assume that you'd have the gear required to beat a random player you bump into or are you talking about the redbattlefield thing. Havent played in a while so i dont know if there are other pvp modes but there is NOOOO pvp mode that balances out both parties for a pure skill based match up. so thats where my 40-60 hours comes from..... 100% not a joke, it's the main reason why i flaked out.

You've probably noticed that no one can agree on what this game actually is.

Is it PVP? Is it PVE?

It can be one or the other or neither, really. You never have to kill a single PVP or PVE enemy if you don't want to. Well, technically I think you have to kill some grass beetles and some goblins and a goblin boss to unlock full functionality, but that is really it. Many of the life skills actually give combat XP, so if you wanted to, you could probably eventually get to 60 by just doing that all day, although I don't think you would be able to train very many skills due to lack of skill points...

Likewise you don't actually have to grind pve to get money either. Many of the richest players in the game don't grind very often and instead focus on lifeskills, but grinding pve can be quite lucrative too.

The real deal breaker for some people in this game is that if you're over level 50 and you're not in a town, you can be killed by other players. Sometimes this will happen for no reason. Sometimes someone will get a hard-on for griefing you. It happens, but not very often.

I understand that since WoW was likely your first mmo, and you played very few after, that you would not understand what a good mmo should have and should not have, I get it, you played nothing but trash the entire time. I know I could kick your ass in any of them, and even in fps games as well! But cmon now.....I know you would want a mmo with all the things I mentioned.

Oooooh you played no skill Chinese games.

Makes sense now. Shame, you have no skills then. :| I guess you need brain dead easy mmos with casino rng to get anywhere. Heck...don't think you could even handle a Normal mode raid in FFXIV. Sad. :)

And like I stated, the only developer capable of such a thing, is SE themselves....:)
