I plan to try Bless during regular release because people I know from both my current and former BDO guilds are playing it. I don't intend to play it actively as the information I read about the game before it's release made it seem like not the right game for me. With that said, any new MMO will be fun to play, even if casually, for a few weeks. I think people here expect too much from an MMO at launch. Most MMO launches are mired with issues. I can't speak for the Bless launch as I have not yet played it. But people need to go into these launches with the understanding that issues will be prevalent. I definitely don't see myself quitting BDO for Bless. But 3 months ago, I saw myself playing BDO for the next year or maybe much more. Now, I am not so sure of it. The game is less fun. I play it less. I mainly lifeskill and active play for guild events (node wars, sea monsters, etc). Compare that to just 3 months back when I was playing 25-30 hours of active time a week (grinding, battle arena, node wars, etc). And my reduced play time is not even solely due to the current witch/wizard flow/damage issue, as my play time reductions predate them. But those issues certainly don't help either. I also can't remember the last time I played my mystic of berserker alt, both of who have full boss weapons. Experimenting or learning to PvP on them under the new system feels like a waste with al these constant changes. I just hope they fix the PvP system and make this game fun to play again. In a nutshell, Bless is not a BDO killer, but don't judge Bless based on just launch issues. I don't see myself playing a lot of Bless or quitting BDO. However, the recent changes have made BDO less fun for me.
Glad I dodged that bullet, made up my mind when I saw the $200 founders pack and my mind screamed Asian mmo cash grab.
HAHAHA. Good luck. Let me know when the servers are up and running.. they've only been shut down about 8 times in the past 36 hours for "emergency maintenance".
The fact that you trust the guy who opens the vid with >Why my game not running smooth I have 1080 REEEE says a lot.
Strafing animations in this game look even worse than some free stuff from the unity asset store. Not exaggerating.
10% of bdo players use steam to play the game. Everyone in Bless is using steam to play the game & easy macro to stay ingame to not get kicked and get waitlist. New rpg's are always fun. I'm only playing Bless for 1-2 weeks to have some fun in the early days & enjoy the low lvl crowd. It's a good time to have some fun there cuz BDO is in a time out balancing pregnancy period. After the starter rush ~2 weeks, the main reason to play the game is gone. I was WAY more impressed with my first days in BDO btw.
bro first look how much players bdo has without steam and look how much it has with before you come with "10%", thx
Whiteknight threads like this give more excuses for bdo devs to continue being lazy and ruin game even further. I will buy bless after 2 weeks when they fixed release issues like in every game. I will play it 2 month before playing wow expansion.
Ok? Was someone defending BDO here? I started this game at launch and it was horrible and just came back, I see a load of problems still but it's a far cry from what I experienced back then. What games would you recommend? I haven't played an MMO ever that I would. BDO, SWtOR, TERA, BnS, ESO although I only played during a couple betas and launch of ESO ppl say it' ok now. I couldn't say "yes it's a great game" about any single one of them each has at LEAST one giant flaw.
i dont buy bless this month because i already buy street fighter 30 anniversary and upgrade my bdo pack but all player i know playing bdo on discord play bless now let see after 1 or 2 month what happen
Being salty about changing game mechanics doesn't mean it's not a tried and true game. Almost every MMO has gone through multiple revisions to it's battle system rules in it's life time. Some even revel in it. It's not literally "game breaking" like bless. Which to be ironically fair, fine prints it as "working in process, towards launch" aka development "early access". LITTERALLY. Go read the fine print, aka description. Bless is marketing itself as "not launch ready". BDO is nowhere near that state, just because you don't like that your class meta changes every week, and can't be god mode. Game is playable, classes playable, life goes on, just rules in flux. Bless has features, classes and content totally missing. It's translation is rough and unedited, it's optimization is poor and undocumented, it crashes on start up. Heck the new "action mode" it tried to advertise is only in 1 class (berserker). Yes bless is literally WIP, to the point classes are locked out, and not just "oh it's just still in development locked out", it's a part of the quests, the drops, pretty much just suppose to be there, but not finished. There is a blurry line, but bless online is so far cross over, there's no discussion, from a legal standpoint and practical one. It's outright stated it's a alpha state game(behind wordy phases like early access, and founders, and actively developing towards launch). Behind that veil of making you words, it's a glorified crowdsource like project you see anywhere. "Give us money, so we can keep developing the game till it's not crap" - layman terms.
I still haven't figured out what's got BDO fanboys all bent out of shape... disabling PvP in boss fights? You ******* really whining about that?
sure its DAY ONE new car shine lol. Come back next month tell us how amazing your time is bless is and how we are all suckers for still playing bdo lololololololololololololololol. Ill bet most dont even last 2 weeks let alone a month, its a pretty terrible game and there is zero reason to play it over any other mmo because it does a worse job at everything.
