Shai's outfits are censored

You're right there isn't a black box, its white. Many people already said "Fine keep it, just make it shorter so it doesn't show in outfits". Missed those huh? So we can talk about lore huh? Ok so she is 30 now what? If you get to use lore i can use lore. Show me one outift were she isn't covered, go on, I'll wait for you to post no proof like always.

For better or worse. I did 'send a ticket' twice in regards to my complaints on the censorship. The second time even pointing towards this thread, showing pictures of the clipping the censorship is causing, and also showing all the character costumes for the Shai that show they are nothing remotely 'sexualized' in the first place, showing the whole censorship was pointless and dumb.

Both times a different GM replied with the same 'read from script' response stating that I should take my 'ideas' to the suggestions forum. Blah. And they released another costume for Shai, yet another one that I will not be buying anytime soon.

 

I wish they would either give us the original design or make them full length pants and allow us to dye them.
Having them be cut right under the knee and be pure white look so stupidly bad. Especially with outfits that have longer boots.

If they want to go the route of voluntary censorship and force "american values™" to everyone while asking our money for it, they should go the length of making them fit each outfit individually. Because right now it look like they hired some random old religious american who got his sense of fashion at his local walmart to design it and I don't see a reason to buy those outfit.

ok, I sort of agree with you that they could have used better things like the ones you have suggested and ya the thing they used for Shai is just ugly, some one suggested they could have used to Bandage like they did on Tamer , I have no clue why they didn't or who decided this ugly thing was good but it's not
and hey English isn't native to me so sorry if I didn't know how to explain correctly , but yes some people were talking that customising the body could be an issue for some people

 

while I do wish they just remove the censor completely.
I will say for the first time on this thread, thats not a bad look right there. Still would like the choice however.

Sadly those sickos still got labs and other servers if they wanted to see her uncovered. It's not like this one character is gonna create an outrage when someone in JP is drawing ass loads by the day, both lewd and non lewd. The censor stops nothing but people able to enjoy their costumes as advertised.

 

Precisely. x3 I'm gonna do what the 'GMs' suggested, knowing how very futile it is, and post in the suggestions forum. It's something I feel strongly enough that I'd like to see changed, and the censorship only affects us players. Doesn't stop the so called 'deviants' and 'sickos' because they have uncensored or nude patches for that, or other such things. There really isn't anything wrong with any of the costumes released up to this point for the Shai as it seems Korea is going the more innocent, cute, friendly approach with the Shai in regards to that.

 

omg yes this When I saw the long boots on that costume I had hoped the leggings were going to be long enough to appear as pants and welp yay for disappointment :P Another one I won't be buying and therefore can't try out the class yet...

I made the thread. Not sure if it will do any good or not, but I want to at least fight for it. Will be sad not to make Shai my main life skiller like I originally wanted just because of this silly censorship, but I refuse to purchase anything for them until it is addressed.

They are using the uncensored ones as promo material (which does not generate outrage due to uncovered knees). It kind of begs the question what is the purpose for the long johns besides trolling the user base.

 

I think there is a pretty quick solution to this problem. Don't buy costumes for Shai. They should figure it out real fast and it's gonna be made easier because 1) A large portion of players want absolutely nothing to do with this class and won't buy costumes to begin with and 2) The people who want to play this class should avoid buying these costumes in order for them to realize we don't like how they look.

Lack of sales should make them reconsider how they are applying this censorship.

 

That is probably the ONLY thing that will make them reconsider it.

 

As someone pointed out, there is FFXIV. There is Terra Online which while it originally had the Elins censored, they eventually tossed it out in favor of a bunch of uncensored outfits that would make one blush when in compared to most of the outfits in this game to begin with. Then there is that other martial arts game.. I forget what it was called, but it also has a 'child-like' race and I don't recall them having even bothered censoring it at all, learning from Terra Online's initial mistakes.

There is nothing pornographic in this game that I know of. If the sight of panties (which with the Shai, in most cased you'd have to try REALLY hard to look.. outside of character creation) bothers you so much, especially of a short statured female, or one whom looks young, please stay away from any clothing store.

There is nothing in US law that would even come close to making anything with the Shai illegal. You have no grounds to stand on there.. otherwise the Tamer class would be censored as well, considering the fact in the Lore she IS an actual child.

 

Let us dye the leggings IMO. Add a button for it on all costumes and armours and suddenly they would blend right in to the designs.

 

Except they still CLIP THROUGH most outfits. Especially when sitting down or taking some poses, and just standing in the case of some. No amount of being able to dye will fix that.
