My characters come from my novel; current ones have been around for years, since Soul calibur V launch I think? while bdo's spin off is different it's still massive haha. hahaha well I can understand wanting change. Yup; my bdo characters are based off my vampire novel which ofcourse will have the fun stuff lol. Being an Action/Romance/Drama and all that xD. though for wanting change; it's why i have over 24 templates haha so many characters in my rp. Wife has over a dozen herself and we just rp with each other mostly :P
Here's my main in BDO which I based on my OC. It has taken me 62 reiterations of her to get her as close to what I imagine my OC looks like. Here's the after, it's as close as I can get in BDO to my OC and I don't expect any other changes unless longer hairstyles come out.
