Simple solution to Grabs

    Give every class grabrange of valk. And cd. Remove extra chance onc zerker and warrior.
    Hf watching all of them failing their grabs cause they cant just randomly press the grabbutton and grab someone from half across the map.

    Yeah, yeah, diversity is fine but it needs to be balanced.

    If someone has a longer grab range it should be slower so they can’t just throw it out whenever an enemy is within a 5M radius and grab people.

    Most grabs take about 0.1s to land. Add in 0.2s for every tier of grabs after valk grab and suicide fall. Mystic and ranger take 0.3s, tamer and ninja flash bondage take 0.5, warrior, striker, and berserker grabs take 0.7 (instant grapple passive either only working in short range or changed). Lahn grab probably also 0.7 just because 0.9 would be too slow even with the range.


    OR better yet, Grabs can be given the properties of a projectile and have a hitbox that travels at a relatively slow speed. That way, the further somebody is from you, the longer your grab needs to be out before it can catch them.

    you realise as a high geared striker/mystic/valk/warrior unless your fighting someone with 280, they can literally sit there and just block, throw a iframe or something then block again when its already regened...this would literally make it so anyone below 260 ap would be able to nothing against those tanky block classes

    You mean those tanky classes that are easily cc able the moment they move like warrior and valk? Hmm

    grab is just too rewarding for how easy it is to do
    - change grapple cc limit counter to 2
    - remove any protection
    - adjust hitboxes and length of the animation
    the idea of fg being a counter for grab sounds pretty shitty

    Or I mean just remove protection and make every grab non-magnet grabs and actual hand distance.

    Smash has a pretty obvious triangle of Attack>Grab>Block. BDO is in a weird spot with iframe>Grab> [Block>Attack>SA>CC>]

    Problem is, classes without iframes and grabs are in a totally different league in gameplay compared to those that have them and balancing becomes a lot more complicated (just because they have no grabs/iframes doesn't mean they're unplayably weak as the entire kit needs to go under consideration).

    But a small simple fix to the OPness of grabs without removing their role of grabbing perma SA FG people is just:
    make them unprotected and fist distance (except Lahn's).

    Warrior's grab, for example, is ridiculously far lol.

    People who QQ "well how do we fight mobile SA classes then?" Well... how does grabless classes do it? You just look for gaps and land a CC, hell you still have a grab, you just have to time and position it instead of spam it like an AoE.

    Well then it'd be hard to keep the Grab>SA balance
    I think a unprotected, CCable hand distance grab would make the most sense with the least amount of programming

    projectiles dont work well in this game. try using any of them on a wizard on a moving target for instance. they will appear to get hit sometimes, get zero damage. massive cases of desync. kinda sad really, even if projectiles have decent aoe they still miss moving targets. god knows what happens on their screens tho, probably projectile going to Kansas.

    you need to move to regen block. its not regenerating fi you keep standing still.

    While they balance classes and want to create fair pvp environment, i still think they should rework grabs. we must have smth to counter grabs. SA, block does not work, and in 90% if you are grabbed it means you are dead.
