So the idea goes a little like this: Players come withing 100 meter radius of each other and someone PvP flags, depending on who the aggressor is, if the persons that they're around have lower or higher AP than them, the following happens based on context. If you flagged up against someone, and their AP is is lower than yours, you receive a debuff of a variable between 25%-75% reduced damage against them based on how great the desparity is. If the person you try to flag up on without dueling starts attacking you, the same happens to them. If you do this while isn't an area where your level and/or AP is clearly higher than the monsters, the experience, money, drop rate and drop quantity gets reduced based on the desparity of your stats compared to the monsters in the area. This is only in effect while you have the PvP related debuffs on. The initial debuff lasts as long as you have PvP mode enabled. Once you turn off PvP mode, the debuff turns off instantly. Civil discussion please, if you think the initial idea is good, but lacks refinement, please voice any improvements where you think they could be made.
So... when the aggressor has 5 ap more... suddenly he gets a 25% ap debuff and now he WAY LESS ap compared to the person he tries to fight? Yeah... no... try again.
No. We need more structured pvp mechanics we can queue into with artificially leveled playing fields, but not to screw with the open world. AND BALANCED CLASSES AND ATK SPD ETC. ETC.... ugh.
No, this is a final damage debuff, taking into account all human AP and damage numbers multiplied by the persons skills..
Not gonna work, mate. Openworld pvp is just that. Openworld. It’s where your gear is supposed to shine the most. Idgaf about equalising gear in arenas and stuff, but leave openworld as it is. Why the hell are we working so hard on gear if we get punished for it?
How is that fair when areas in BDO sometimes stretch between 30-40ap levels differently. For example gahaz you start at 180-200ap finish at 235ap and both have the right to be there since that is how the game is.
Allows the ability to remove the Karma system by equalization in terms of AP. The monster damage debuff only applies when you've flagged and attacked someone, once you turn of PvP mode, it removes the debuff.
Karma-bombing is an intentional part of the game at this point. They're obviously not interested in changing it - the last thing they did was to double the penalties, not reduce them.
karma bombing = karma suicide both are made up by candy ass crying babies. Both sides can choose to stop and change channel at any time
Yeah, remove the Karma system... really a great idea... have fun getting killed all the time, while you afk ride from Calpheon to Heidel or ANY place for that matter, because some kiddie thinks he's the greatest "bandit" ever. Additionally this would allow essentially anyone to attack anyone, anywhere... "Hey guys, I'm going to kill some lowbies for fun in Mediah, anyone wanna join?" Guess what would happen when a 280AP, 350DP attacks someone with 90AP, 130DP... even with -75% damage... Sorry, no improvement suggestions, because I think the whole idea is kinda crappy.
But that's not protection, that's valid game mechanics, but oh so is Kamabombing, oh well guess you were right.
Please don't commit Karmacide! It's never that bad. If you need to talk please call the Karmacide Prevention Hotline.@ 1-800-GET-HELPS Operators are standing by to help 24/7
still dont get it why ppl talk about pvp when its pk, only in arsha/wars you can have pvp rest is just open world pk.. so as u can see this game does not have pvp much
