Territory owning guilds dropping to sub-guilds.. ruining nodewars?

    Let's have this grand discussion again since we have castle sitting guilds currently doing T2 nodewars thus pushing even more guilds to do T1's. Thoughts?

    after you leave a guild, it should take 7 days to join a castle owned guilds and 24 hours to join any other guilds. if coding that is too difficult, then just increase the 24 hours cd timer to 7 days.

    /edit 3 is enough too

    It's complete ******** and the minimum cooldown after leaving a guild until you can join another one should be raised.

    T2s? There are T1 guilds that have 5 to 10 mercs from siege guilds helping them win T1s each week when those 5 to 10 are strong enough to single-handedly take out half the T1 guilds on their own. Many get the feeling that unless they are 500 GS, they can't even compete in T1s. That is what's ruining node wars for most up and coming guilds.

    These power fantasies may be fun for the geared player steamrolling the lowbies, but it definitely is not fun for the lowbies.

    We have seen this suggestion pop up all over the place, but there should be a week long cooldown to join a guild that holds a castle if a player leaves a guild that owns a castle.

    This means that if you leave a castle owning guild to merc, you cannot rejoin your guild for 7 days unless they lose the castle. This also means that you have to wait a week after leaving a castle owning guild to join another castle owning guild.

    Alternatively, If a guild owns a castle, make it so that the guild cannot accept new members while they own the castle (this is FAR more extreme and probably not a good idea because owning a castle is one of the biggest advertisements for a guild.)

    Any other guild still has the 24 hour cooldown.

    If you leave a guild the first time it should have a 24 hour cooldown.
    The second time within a month should be a weeks cooldown.
    3rd- 2 weeks.

    Example:

    Someone from XXXXX guild leaves and joins another YYYYYYY guild to fight in a lower tier node. They get a 24 hour CD to join that guild.
    That same someone now in YYYYYYY leaves to fight in Siegewar. Can't join any other guild for a week.

    If they do join back with XXXXX and quit again within a month, they can't join another guild for 2 weeks. Incase they didn't get the point the first two times.

    This jumping back and forth is BS. Stay in your guild and fight for it. End of story.

    Edit: If you leave a guild more than 10 times you shouldn't be allowed to rejoin that guild. Ever.

    What about siege members mercing for other guilds? Is this the same issue?

    The toute of this problem is that PA wont give bigger guilds their own fight

    The first thing i would do is to boot any guild out of the region after 3 weeks

    So the fight and win the castle, they have one shot at defending, the they’re out the day before the next seige and everyone fights for the castle together

    It doesnt need to be 7 days, it only has to be 3 days. 7 days is way to long, If you do 3 days which is 72 hours, if you leave saturday night at say 9:30EST you could join a guild Wednesday night at 9:30 EST, Which basically couldn't do node war anyways. Then you leave Wednesday you wouldn't be able to make Siege on Saturday. Thus problem fixed.

    Orrrrr. A guild loses all funds when it fails to capture a node and those funds go to whatever guild captures that node :Dand guilds are required to use 1b funds per nodewar *dreams*

    Leaving a guild should put you on 8 (not 7) days timer before you can join another guild.

    That works. 3 days is more than reasonable also. Change guild cooldown from 24 hours to 72 hours! @PM Jouska
