doesnt it say you can also turn a map back in to its origina pieces to get the knowledge that way?

 

I dont have any of those knowledge because u know RNG but there is 4 entry for map and 3 for compass parts so it could be at drop : its in the adventure Journal Section of Valencia : Great Desert Expedition Log 3

It's funny those knowledge are not on BDDATABASE

Maybe it was a recent addition to the game?
Which means we could break our maps and make them again to get the knowledge.

I am looking for a rotation with the most lava devourers possible, anyone have a tsuggestion?

I didnt found any specific devour rotation in the guide. anyways I completed it today.

 

Thank you for this guide, it motivated me a lot to keep going. I'm at 2/4 completion, finally can leave Sulfur Mines.

Also I don't know if this was already mentioned, but the similar looking pieces can be deciphered at Caphras Cave near Florin, so they can be distinguished after it:



Also this reveals the respective knowledge.

 

Today finally dropped my last piece. Thank author of the guide for good info.

My total hours:
Pilaku 1 piece [Sordid Deportee] - 8h of pure farm.
Pilaku 2 piece [Iron Fist Warder] - 70h of pure farm.
Sulfur 3 piece [Lava Devourer] - 1h of pure farm.
Sulfur 4 piece [Lava Tukar] - 4h of pure farm.

Most time on PVP arsha (only 3rd piece dropped on Kama 1 due to killer on Arsha). No blessing of Kama, just Node lvl 10(pilaku) and ~ lvl 7 (sulfur).

Thank you again for this guide, it seems it's helping/has helped a lot of us! If you're still playing BDO/checking this thread, could you update your guide with one thing I've mentioned earlier? The map pieces can actually be decyphered in Caphras Cave near Florin, so there's no real need to remember which part was which because their icon will change to a unique look. (Yes, I should have made a screenshot...) Moreover it gives the knowledge for the respective pieces.

 

Yeah, I think this was added in some patch

 

Finally he says..... in the meantime others grind for 100s of hours and get nothing

 

funny the iron fist warden took you the longest, meanwhile i got 5 iron fist warden pieces without a single deportee for a few hundred hours

 

Finally completed my map, too! Thanks for the guide and all the helpful posts. Took about 160 hours with blessing and loot scrolls for most of it on normal servers. No nodes invested except for the final piece which was done with a maxed Sulfur Works node and 14% ecology.

I'm not very lucky in this game from the start(imo), but i looted my first map in sulfure after 5 minutes (without knowing it was) and the other one 1h after.
Going to clean pilaku tomorrow and i wish to have the same luck.
