What does the community want? Well, it’s not that hard!

    What the community wants:
    - nerf every one and their mothers class but not my main class.

    - full PEN BOSSGEAR level 20 caphra with PEN blackstar upon first login.

BDO has almost zero requirement for player interaction. It's an MMO Single player game for all intents and purposes.
They need to come up with a proper method for blocking or minimizing gold farmers so proper trading can take place.

BDO is designed to be a casino. You visit dazzling areas and enjoy the spectacle. Then you spend the rest of your day playing their various slot machines.

I just wish there was an honest developer/publisher still on earth. The days of playing a game with a simple sub that gave you everything in the game are over. Current game business models suck big time. Crappy intentionally crippled gameplay with convenience items in the market to uncripple the artificial problem, plus a sub, plus it's b2p, plus an alternate sub for xp and drop rate plus pay for pets to pick up your items and make the pets tiered so we can sell pets over and over etc....

Microtransactions, lootboxes and kid gambling are my biggest concern with the gaming industry in general.

The famous "MMORPG community". Ah yes that one. Do you have any looser definition to use as a support for your personal suggestions?

There shouldn't be any specific catch up mechanics. People should instead learn to accept their role and place in the game.

Everyone doesn't get to WIN the Super Bowl or obtain the Heavy Weight title. These things have meaning because only the best acquire them and they are not meant for everyone. In the same aspect Star Grave isn't for everyone. It's should ONLY be those committed players that earned their way (#or bought their way Sadly).

I don't want to go play in another game and being doing end game raids, PVP, castles, in a few weeks or even months.

There is a fine line that will always be subjective, but there is one important thing to remember. The more catch up mechanics you put in the game the less value there is for playing the game. If you put to many catch up mechanics it's just not worth playing long term. This has already occurred in BDO to some extent. Players not bothering to level, and just leveling by updates instead. Why grind 56? You can just wait months and get it for free. 57 too, 58, 59, now 60. Why not just wait for free 61,62,63,64.

In fact the best solution for people that want catch up mechanics is to play Seasons or a game they can cap out in 2 weeks. The Seasons will always ensure you are on a more even ground. Path Of Exile and Diablo 3 have done this for years. Or just play a MOBA/etc.

And then, you got that 12 years old who destroyed you literally on his 1st month after selling 200 costumes making him pen gears... as he runs around you screeching "I FUKED YOUR MOM!!!"

This is a argument that sounds better than it actually is.

Fighting games were a meme gimmick back when they started, but look at them now

Other games exist in their genre with less or more skill and all of their basic designs and finest intricacies, MMORPG pvp can have high skill, (some of it already does/did) and can be valuable, and it is very importantly a different format and structure than, say, a fighting game or shooter, which is worth thinking about, not disregarding with blind dismissal and a lazy-- albeit comfortable within the false sense of security of consensus-- attempt at an argument of authority.

    your move

E - I win. Yay that was amazing fight.

To develop a balanced PVP system would take more than Pearl Abyss's entire staff. Fighting games have a hard time doing this when it's the ONLY thing they do. Imagine how bad the game would be if they had to do 1,000 other tasks as well.

Well....... you don't have to imagine....... the result would be the same trash by every MMORPG ever created

    E - I win

This doesn't even take into account Pearl Abyss has a complete conflict on interest regrading this. The more unbalanced and Pay2win the game is the better it is for them.

But if that was true, you would have a horrible unbalance game with new OP classes, gear score would dominate over skill and everything would be RNG/Cash shop oriented. Oh looks exactly like the current model, imagine that.

ppl want this game to be skillbased only. imagine what happens then, if a 650gs mystic plays actually gud on that class. Unless you want to delete gear from pvp. Oh, wait the same ppl go to gearmatched tournaments.

BDO is designed for ages 3-6. If your still using a pacifier and are amazed by a balloon, then BDO's PVP will probably entertain you. Anything beyond that and you should be intelligent enough to figure out E I-Win is the actual game play.

At it's worst you will see Bong or Truffles. Truffles or some name like that is a player in Lineage II. They go through a castle siege instantly killing 500 players by pure Pay2win garbage.

However, this is still hitched to a primarily, (but not the only) important issue of what it should be compared to what it is. Somewhat like speaking of perfection and how it should be our goal even if we acknowledge it's impossible compared to a immediate opposing belief of accepting something much less, maybe even mediocrity. There's the bell of practicality and convenience rearing its head again.

You lost on account of shifting the goal post, unless you truly meant for this to be your argument. in which case it was your mistake and you should have led with it. Still, this is a much more solid argument. Props. Free bump.
