"Mystic now can't jump in 20ppl and kill them all"

but they can still do it with 3+, which still isn't balance...I'd be fine with a nerf to sorc, IF they compensate and make it so that you can't grab someone out of SA or FG. It makes no sense that a grab class can run up and grab someone out of a block...it would be even more ridiculous if you took away the mobility in our iframes (which pales in comparison to heavy mobility classes like musa)

I was not trigger, he was. Tbh, I'am tired of all these threads messed by this kind of people. I think players have to unit to claim a big update for each classes, especially for old ones.

I-frame is Sorc's key mechanic which takes time and practice to fully master in order to SEEM infinite. Sorc's i-frames are indeed limited - limited to stamina. Good Sorcs make it "look like" we have infinite i-frames because we combo abilities between i-frames to compensate for the heavy stamina drain i-framing causes, but that still does not compensate for the gaps between i-frames where the Sorc is wide open. Again, it takes mastery and gear to pull off the insane things Sorc can do - but all classes can do insane things with skill and gear, so what's the difference?

This takes practice, muscle memory, and to an extent gear, to master, to make it seem infinite. Also, the removed invincibility effect from the second part of our i-frame, it's now a SA, where we can still be heavily movement speed debuffed (like having 150% weight), with speed being key to Sorc gameplay. You can blow her up easily in this state.

I-frame is Sorc's only real form of protection since we lack SA, but even when using SA abilities, Sorc is still one of the most squishy classes innately.

Yeah, that'd be nice. But the reason I think most older classes require gear to be viable is because the devs don't know how to actually balance classes. If PA were to buff older classes so new players can be viable (like Striker, Mystic, Witchzard), then the veterans would be out of control (think reknown score and it's geared vs. ungeared gap).

At this point, they have to update old ones then new ones around some roles defined, but this have to be made at the same time to be relevant.
Ranger, zerk, sorc, warrior, tamer, (musa, maehwa pre awak), QOL, buff, skill merging, new passives, better scaling, better damage repartition between skills, delete useless flows, increase or strengthen weaknesses, skill clarity, and clarity for low and high resolution etc
Btw, renown score is still active ( ap scalling only), geared player are still out of control.

Yeah well, the same guy that liked your post has the same habit of those haters, except that he first claims something then hides behind bigandshiny or other supposed big names avoiding any technical confrontation, then he likes your post where you say rightfully that other classes should be buffed and we should all stick together asking for those buffs.

Now you know why hate generate hates, especially when someone doesn't even put the effort of discussing skills or toolkit but makes big claims and leave them like that.

What people don't understand is that class balance means class balance, not "my class now is fine, leave it alone" or "your is fine, stop crying", which means a state where every class can perform ok in every scenario and excel in others if we want diversity for each toolkit, if we don't want it then it must be a rounded class balance and that's it, everyone must do good in every scenario.

Something that can't be achieved if we don't discuss, which is different from claiming stuff pulled out of a random cilinder because "why not". People elaborate only when is their class, when it's another one they are expert as they claim because they fought it or have "played" it long ago - and funnily enough it happened to be even their main - but can't tell you even the least meaningful detail about it, i wonder why.

I am unsure why I keep coming back to these sorc threads. People keep crying nerf sorc when at no point has PVP or even PVE been good to me.

Pre-nerfs Sorcs had nothing to open up anyone. They had to hope CC landed on an unsafe skill. And couldn't ever trade.

Post-nerfs everyone is Open to more CC thus the Sorcs that learned ot never take a hit still don't take a hit, but now can hit the enemy and actually do something. Are people really so vapid they think this warrants a nerf?

How about when other classes get buffs sorc isn't forgotten about.
How about making Sorcs Not the slowest PVE DPS (arguable sure but I sure as hell aint fast)
how about diversifying classes to perform well in their rolls instead of being homogenised garbage.

How about making a fun and diverse game experience with proper RPG elements and real open world sandbox content.

    (begins screaming into the void)

Because witch and wizard lose 1v1 like 90 percent of the time. They don't have the tools to 1v1 :^) what game you playing son?

game is not balanced around 1v1 or do you think they should have a stronger toolkit for 1v1 and keep their AE, insane RANGED burst, PA, heals, speed spells also? You need context when discussing balance. If you want your class to excel in 1v1 you cant expect to be good in large scale that is unbalanced. When seige guilds recruit who do they prioritise the ninja or the wiz/witch? Yet everyone loves to whine about ninja/kuno. Sorc is in a good spot and rather than nerfing (insert class that recently butfked you here), how about bringing up some of the weaker classes and more importantly being impartial enough to recognise that actually your class isn't that bad and the classes you complain about aren't that broken.

Sorc is in the "good spot" of mediocrity and lazy design. Btw, PA is not going anything to improve her. She needs so many QOL, fix etc... like some others classes. Each classes should have to get a specific role, and build around this role their strengh and weaknesses.
If tomorrow, PA decides to increase DP scalling. Sorc will be in the deep hole named "trash class"

Uh that's my point? The problem with balancing with large scale is that it's ignoring 90 percent of the game. Most players engage in PVP on a 1v1 basis. Siege and I would argue even node wars is pretty niche with the exception of a few hard core guilds. Having a balanced 1v1 situation is probably more important in the long term. Most players grind, which is the primary way most players get their income which means, grinding is the primary way of getting gear/silver per hour. Every class should have the kit to protect their grind or at least having a fighting chance at it.

Ninja is broken, it has insane protected mobility rivaling that of sorc. It has insane burst which exceeds virtually every other assassin class. It has some of the highest protection in the game. It now has hp sustain and it has the ability to pick and chose/reset it's engagements with stealth.

    Kuno is fine.

Mystic is broken for some of the same reasons ninja is. One of the most protected classes, it has moderately high burst [this whole mystic doesn't have high damage thing is a myth. Roaring tiger will literally one shot most squishy targets with 261 ap.], it has hp sustain, it takes reduced damage from magic classes for some ****ing reason. It has moderately high mobility and has group utility.

And god no, let's not go through that again. They did this already and the game became horribly imbalanced because of it. Why bring everyone up to match 3 to 4 classes when all you need to do is make some minor tweaks to those 3 or 4 classes?

Honestly, I think this is projecting. Does 90% of pvp happen in 1v1 basis? Maybe your PVP experience is this, but from what I hear. Large scale is the main draw and focus of this game.

However you do have a valid point.

Other games offer diverse skill trees that differentiate uses and specialities. One set of skills works well in large scale and have 1v1 disadvantages. Another set works well in Small scale and maximises Single target/singling out in 1v1 specifically.

But, so long as you/people go down this route of small scale vs Large scale. I don't know people would come to Sorc forum to complain. Because Sorcs do NOT have good Large scale potential. From all the things I've seen and observed. Sorcs almost exclusively throw one skills and run off, and we get more and more nerfs around our large scale capabilities.

Blade of Darkness cant large scale PVE for us anymore.
Our Orb got nerfed into the damn ground.
Grim Reaper doesn't have Proper SA anymore.
Nightmare should be renamed to: "HI I am dead now"

However, even if we did have skills that could specialise classes into small scale vs Large scale, they PVE is not designed around this either. In Ragnarok Online, the hunting zones were so diverse that specific builds had to go to specific places to get proper exp and not get killed. There were places that favoured one v one skill builds, places that favoured Group killing builds, places that favoured Holy damage, fire damage, ice and all sorts. Hell even group areas and spawn mechanics had roles for every type. BDO, as much praise as it gets has NONE of these things. And I doubt it ever will, as Korean game companies enjoy churning out new titles vs improving older ones.
