I don't care about the graphics at this point. I just want a f*cking game that doesn't crash when more than 200 people are in the same place, where the best players dont sit uncontested for a year because the game is completely unbalanced and its easier to defend a castle in a 3v1...Where people can't just karma bomb, where going negative karma has too much penalty that everyone is too scared to go red, where there is actual incentive to OWPVP. Where the progression system doesn't make people want to f*cking give up and quit because it's too stressful and frustrating.

The game has gone backwards since release. They can keep pushing out all the different zones, kama, drieghan, etc. I don't care. Just a bigger emptier world at the end of the day. Even the new content is copy paste mechanics and mindless content that isn't unique, rewarding or challenging in any way.

I think i am on the "quiting" side for a few months.
I was first mad at p2w and excessive add of broken content to incentive players to move to an overpriced cash shop. I finally went over it, and blame ppl for their addiction and congratulate pa for their business model.
So i moved to the nodes wars and conquests scene, and finally found myself surprisingly happy to do them. I found my place as a pvx player in a competitive pvp guild. I had precise job, and free hands to do it as i intended. Thats what i did, and i managed to form a team i think very competent and dedicated to the job.
So yeah, now im just staying cause of my guild and my team.
And also kinda the 2 years spent in the game.
I currently dont see myself (yet) just leaving cause there is still much to do.

But, the recent decline in servers stability, the increase in lags/desyncs added to the regular decrease of the performances keep driving me nut.

PA had a golden pearl in hands, and i am sure they had good developers to first release it. Then, they stoped caring about making a good game. They just wanted addictive game. The original developers are most certainly no longer part of the team, moved to new projects. I dont see any bright future for BDO.
Kakao and pearlabyss just showed they dont care, they despise the playerbase.

I still play for nw and sieges. Even if the recent siege mecanics darken the near future (bs new resurrect timers...) i plan to stay around for atleast 2-3 more months.

Oh, and btw, i spent some money in the game... little amount compared to some. 100ish euros invested. But i decided to stop investing more 6 months ago. And i daily see how faster the ones milking the game do everything easier and faster ,thanks to their wallet. The game is not p2w, its "pay to make much more silvers to win"

Hope you will stay around Tansie :)

No, I did not asked. But if during reading suddenly ninjas, striker, musas, maewa, kunoichis, mystics and rans appear, I would ask. ;-)
Yes, the Silmarillon is not complex, nor confusing. ;-) Very good placed irony here. I like it.
I have great respect to all authors who do write novels that are unique and not copy-past but different names.
In BDO there are Ganelle and Vedir. Is there enmity between those both groups? Do they thrust each other?
There are faeries - tooth faeries. Why creating a new Disney-like faery as a companion / pet now?
If it is decided, why not creating different companions for each class? I dislike the idea to run around as an evil DK with a Thinker Bell around me.
But I would like to have one of those tooth faeries with a spear or the dark version of them (not difficult to change their skin colour to something dark for the developers).
Nobody told me that they are forgotten. Every beginner will do the quest line e.g. Marnie's lab I and II. But that's it. When this player reaches lvl 60 - 63 and there is no quest that sends you back to rookie / beginner area to do some investigation / duty at Marnie's lab .... who cares?

PAs engine is terrible, what are you talking about? The rendering looks like pixelated garbage, render distance is ~50m so you can't see **** around you, there's constant model, texture, and shader pop-ins, it's poorly optimized, abilities are tied to framerates so you can intentionally drop your frames to fly across the map, abilities deal less damage if you get lower FPS because if the frame that has the damage hit isn't shown then there is no damage hit, the list goes on and on.

It's the best looking MMO ever. There was never MMO better looking than Black Desert Online.
There was never a MMO world with so much life in it.
I don't know why you only see 50 m in front of you, but i can see mountains far away in the back.
Pop-ins as you described them are in every Open World MMO, this are the limitations of current computer processing speed. There is nothing you can do about it other then ignore them. If you can't, than Open World MMOs are just not for you.

    yes, life.

DO IT BETTER! GOD DAMN IT! I REALLY THINK YOU CAN DO IT BETTER! I CAN DO THIS WITH MY EYES CLOSED!

    1 week later....

    DO IT BETTER!

    1 month later....

    GOD DAMN IT!

    1 Year Later....

    DO IT BETTER!

    2 Years later....

    *lowered voice* Do it better.....

XIV has more life in it cuz they actually change npcs around and move stuff when content changes. -_-. I seen mmos where people go on daily routines and change things up depending on the day of the game week.

Oh look, BLESS Online seems on par if not better looking graphically, is that the best looking mmo ever now? Or is BDO just perfect to you? ok.

I run BDO on i5-2500k (3.3Ghz) 8 GB RAM, GTX1070, SSD - i never had problem whether it's bosses like Karanda/Kzarka, or Sieges, i never drop from High/Very High settings. I simply don't need to, because my FPS never drops that low that would force me to do it.

More than a year ago, i was struggeling with FPS and had to lower graphical setting often, especially when i still had GTX 970. But they have optimized the game engine sooo much that i see 80-110 FPS often.

If you quit now, you will never find a game like Black Desert Online again. And looking back at this moment years from now, you will regret it, that you didn't spend more time with it.

No game, nor relationship is perfect, just enjoy what you have, while you have it. Don't look at the sides that will bring you down.

XIV is an instanced world with very little life in it in my opinion when you compare it to BDO, and their combat system is kind of old.
I actually played Bless online, and it was not great, the shadows, the lighting and the world was really really empty, and of course since it was just released, it was very poorly optimized to a point a simple War with 100+ people was really laggy. They have a long way to go to optimize it yet.

You can see here how empty Bless Online World is:

    Same for XIV:

And now look at BDO, see how much life there is:

Here you can actually feel like you are on the open field, filled with grass, and forest look like forest, world looks like world. And the Characters look sooo gorgeous, so much details, even there movement doesn't feel mechanical like in other MMOs but much alive.

oh ok, then I guess Skyrim VR on HTC Vive wins cuz, well, you can feel it...right? Damn, didn't even have to be a MMO.

You can make something look beautiful, but if its **** inside, then that means its ****. Stop defending this ****.

I was referring to the render distance for relevant objects, such as other players, siege placements, etc. As I stated, BDO is detailed, but it's rendered terribly. Pop-ins are not a part of every MMO or open world game. I have tens of thousands of hours in DayZ, WarZ, Rust, H1Z1, ArcheAge, WoW and every other open world game with an expansive map, and the pop-ins are nonexistent in those compared to BDO.

I have an i7-6700k @4.5Ghz, a 1080 TI @Stock, 32GB of DDR4, an M.2 SSD, and I play on a 2k 144hz GSync monitor, native resolution, low preset for 144+ fps in PvP. Even when I crank it to Very High with High-End mode enabled, it still looks like pixelated dogshit, only I'm getting half the fps.

    >Waiting for A:Ir
You mean that game that kakao and blueballs are working on together? I hope you're joking.
Kakao have let down its playerbase by providing a terrible service and bad comunication, For MONTHS on end, and look at PUBG or TERA, They arent much better, they thought adding a new map to PUBG would fix it all, but no, it just divided the playerbase more, Still riddled with bugs btw.
Now you wanna smash the 2 together and see what monstrosity it can **** out? Good one

Also, Its going to be terribly optimised, prepare to pay for a supercomputer to handle low settings, even their trailers were laggy, its like they embrace that they're trash.

Kakao don't deserve another penny from its playerbase, and ill carry that feeling for a long time

tl:dr Dont buy A:IR, Its run by terrible companies and will end up like bdo, a failing mess that could've been great

Lul, just uninstall, not hard to do, yes make a copy paste list of everything everyones said a billion times, noones gonna miss you, and if your just gonna go to A:IR then you sure must be blind to think that Bluehole/Kakao is gonna do any better

P.S. Sell your gear before you quit

Now wave to your money that you spent on the game and go to the next eastern mmorpg and let history repeat itself.
Eastern F2P MMORPGs generally suck...and when I mean suck, I mean both suck and suck your wallet dry. (Excluding FFXIV)

True. F2P is the problem. You always have so much scam with item shops and scum bag communities.

Bdo had a much better community in the beginning when it was buy 2 play too.

Now you barely group up with someone and fight together. Griefer and karma bomber everywhere. And PA removed the XP lost too, so actually you lose in this game when you kill someone. This is a joke for a PVP game.

I got shown yesterday by guildie BDO private servers. And thing is they fixed there all the stuff people suggested... Loot filters. Droprates of rare accessories from mobs and not boxes and a looot more. I'm really angry that private servers can fix stuff so fast while global is so bad.
No rubber banding there, good servers... Like why not do same here?

Got my PS4 Pro with Monster Hunter: World setup on my 2nd HDMI slot so I just play that while I afk stuff

One thing that makes me think the game is dwindling away is that we have half a dozen wars going on yet this morning I afk travelled from Grana to Altinova without being attacked.
