You shouldn't. This "typo" isn't the first issue that's come up. You wonder why there is so much negativity around them, it's because they don't do anything to stop it. They don't communicate as they should. They always say they will, but they don't. It's not like one day all of a sudden everyone just decided to say bad things about them, it's been building and this is where it's at now. A great example of their lack of communication and I don't even mean what their personal take is on the situation, they shouldn't have allowed that **** storm of a thread to reach the levels it has. If they were doing their jobs, they'd have closed it long ago. Why wouldn't people be upset about a support class when for 3 years the game has been built on not following the holy trinity of MMOs? I'm not saying I am upset, I personally think they should have stuck with the trinity, but I can fully understand those who are upset about them changing the fundamentals of the game by introducing a class with a specific role when that hasn't been the design. Isn't that to be expected? It's obviously something to be excited for, getting new stuff in the game, but is this something to congratulate them for repeatedly? Kakao ignores its customers, Pearl Abyss doesn't have a clue what their customers want. Look at them making a stand alone game out of Shadow Arena, no one asked for that, no one wants that. The people who loved Shadow Arena loved it because it was part of Black Desert Online. This is just a perfect example of them not having a clue what their audience wants or likes. Yeah, this place is pretty damn negative, but honestly, it's earned.
The guy who made this post "REALLY" gets what's truly wrong with this game... Granted I quit the game due to hair ripping out bad casino mechanics, I was actually thinking about coming back, but pretty much the above is why I basically have decided not to return to this game.
I can literally sense the hostility in the air... @_@ Anyways, to answer your question? "Right now". Bye.
Nailed it, given the stability of the playerbase over the years and the financial reports, I guess the answer is pretty obvious.
Forum Community EU/NA (Western) == Community Global (All) ? Like another post mention, why they should even care about feedback from Community side, if they have zero impact at all? (Ofc only salary) i just tell you how i see this Game will go on. Do you know Tera? Well now you know what kind of train you are riding, because BDO will follow his footsteps. Big mmorpg with potential but wasted for whales. Game will simply do the same crap over and over again til they you have a piece of gabro, like the another 200+ kr mmorpgs out there. Will laugh at the next big "mmorpg" with his dull community full of white knights, protecting it and drive it down. Btw this Thread is a bit self ironic if you want achieve something.
That problem wouldn't exist if the community would control their spending habits. In a sense they are merely responding to the market. If people stop abusing the P2W mechanics, they will stop producing them. #fact
If people would stop promoting paid options at every occasion and educate their fellow gamers about free alternatives instead ...
They really don't care , every region beside korea (and maybe Japan?) got the censorship so it's not just NA/EU btw. Who cares, play the class if you like it and if you don't , don't play it. It's a simple decision and a common decision you have to make in MMO's.
It is obvious Path of Exile's player base keeps exploding! Final Fantasy has over 1,000,000+ Active paying customers. BDO continues to struggle with a small player base and highly inflated numbers. The "sustain" you refer to is AFK players that can play at no cost. Apex Legends pulled in over 50,000,000 active accounts upon it's release. It's almost like BDO is doing something WRONG that is severely holding the game back, I just wonder what that could possibly be?
Red nose box , we soory , oh snap we forgot to start todays siege, sorry we are getting ddos for the 10th time this month
"Why Does Kakao Ignore Its Community?" answer is -> /adept or die - world will be ruled by people you are history but dont know it yet/
I think this game still has a ton of potential. At it's core, the gameplay alone is enough (for me) to recognize that this still could be one of the greatest MMORPG's of all time. They need to add more content, not just small stuff like a new grind zone, a new accessory, new classes or new horses - like actual content, like what they did when they introduced Shadow Arena. I'd like to see more PvP content, like revamping RBF to include more maps and game modes like capture the flag, holding a control point, etc. Raids / dungeons have long been suggested - I think it's about time they add dungeons and figure out how to implement them as non-instances. Dungeons, or dungeon-like content, alone could pull in so many players, new and old. The gameplay here is so good, just feels like it's not reaching its full potential. We'll have to wait and see. I'm sure there's still a lot to come. Game stability, better class balance, better current grind zone balance, rubber banding issue which has been here since the beginning, weeding out hackers and gold sellers, all need to be fixed first, though. A bad reputation among the mass of MMORPG players is what holds this game back the most, in my observations.
Dungeons are a very dangerous topic for BDO. Many players came to BDO to get away from dungeons/instances. There is a distinct difference and many dungeons completely ruin everything. They are some of the most boring repetitive content ever created. Run through dungeon as fast as possible to get (low RNG chance reward) Rinse Repeat, No thanks.
Very good point. For instance for nearly every player with either a t4 hedgehog or polar bear you can assume they bought the game four times, maybe gifted but maybe gifted to themselves. So I would roughly guess a fiftyish percent of inactive accounts. I say this because I wonder about how committed a player that could not even bother spending ten dollars to buy a game is likely to be. Chances are most that were gifted the game no longer play and of course the accounts that were gifted to self would most likely be left inactive after reaching the required level as it is almost impossible to dedicate enough time for more than one active account.
Every game with a cash shop uses the same revenue model. It's that model that is responsible for the lack of support presence.
