Guess who dodged once again and ran away ? That's right, @2Cents !

Guess we have yet another item to add to the massive list of unbackuped claims been made over 3 years.

No. You want equalized arena combat, play BnS. You want PvE grinding free of ganking, play BnS. You want to be buried in a sh*tstorm of true P2W "treasure trove" b*llsh*t, play BnS. Do I like the tedious parts of BDO? Nah, there are just far less of them than the other MMOs I have tried. And ESO? Lols, They took all the things about Skyrim I hated and featured them, and all the things about Skyrim I love and flushed them.

Omg everyone look!! He ran away to ........... didn't go anywhere. But like totally dodged the ........ (unknown point?).

Mods should be banning you on a regular basis for trolling the community, insulting others, and adding absolutely nothing to the discussion.

Why ask for fresh restart with fixes when we can just ask for fixes for the original game. If they’re willing to fix a restart, why wouldn’t they just fix the original?

Problem now is just that they’re not willing to fix anything. We don’t need a restart.

I also blame Tencent being 18th on Forbes top 100 digital company list to be the reason all MMOs taking the Tencent route >.>

It may also be that I grew up/spent my life’s playing Tencent games that I’m much more tolerable to what BDO has become lol

You know, forum PvP is my favourite hobby since this game is going on hiatus, you really don't want to bother someone with 700 forum RS, playing a FOTM account.

I could KD you with a random ranged meme out of context taken from internet better than a Ranger with its blasting gust and one shot you straight with the same meme, i don't need to elaborate anything else with you.

If they could remove the RNG element from literally every progression model in this game and put it as a sub, I would re roll to that server in an instant.

omg look @2Cents didn't run away for once ! He just did that thousands of times this last 3 years and acts as a hero for coming back literally once ! And of course pretends nothing happened, how cute.

I made half a dozen points in this very topic that you dodged, especially one that was about gaming industry, but ok Mr Dodge.

By banning you mean like what they do with you on a regular basis for being openly toxic ?

Fresh start is the main reason why I'm interested in the console version.

Those first months of a MMO are always the most interesting for me.

These pretty much sum it up. Pearl abyss can do the bait and switch and we get current BDO

Also, the game would have to be redisgned from a western point of view from the ground up that focuses on entertainment, not a game-turned-into-work shenanigan

These Asian casinos in the guise of MMOs just don't settle well with us westerners.

We know a racket/scam when we see one

And that's why Developers of many MMORPGs turn everything into a shìtfest, because we allow them to do so. Not saying that you specifically can't do what you want, but this mentality it's what shifted the entire Gaming Market, from being an entertainment that we must pay for to crippled products that we can enjoy only if we buy DLC, items from CS or other kind of payment-gated solutions.

I don't play Nexon mobile games, Nexon games and i'm going to kick the crotch of Kakao. If i'd have a console, i'd buy it for FF7 remastered, FFIV and i'd play MHO or other stuffs if ported, BDO would be really the last of my choices even if i prefer MMORPGs rather th an single player games.
Not because i never liked BDO or i dislike it right now, i dislike a big chunk of their changes, but BDO is still there covered in a pile of smoking doodoo because the Developers love to squeeze themselves and in the meantime take money from us.

Oh I'm not worried about playing this competitively. They pretty much made it chear that you would be a full-on lunatic to do that.

The core game is in fact based on gearing and the current monetization model.

For the most part subs simply no longer work unless your game has a decade or two worth of content built up like wow or eve. Developers can not produce content fast enough for MMO's to warrant paying for a sub year round. Developers will often spend months producing new content only for it to last for a month time and that's not sustainable for most company's.

The key is finding a good microtransaction model that is balanced. And a way for both players and developers to produce fun renewable content for a game.

So what your saying is the current version of BDO is near perfection and that it's exactly what you want out of a game.
    • Leveling - Not RNG
    • Skill Add On - Not RNG
    • Skill pts - Not RNG
    • Caphra - Not RNG
    • Life Skills - Not RNG
Your only complaint is then Jewelry, otherwise the game is perfect!
You also get unlimited Value Packs as your ready to pay for a sub anyway.

The problem with subscription based game for me (a person used to Asian titles) is that you end up feeling like you’re losing money whenever you’re too busy irl to play the game, in those cases the game feels more like a job to me and the pay wall seems more obvious.

With F2P pay for conveniences, at least when you swipe your card you feel like you’re buying something meaningful.

The problem with BDO is that the pay for convenience makes it so convenient that you “win” too much, along with particular necessities being locked behind the need to buy it with real money.

I don’t want BDO to be sub based, just the cash shop to be less greedy and unbalanced.

One thing to note is the subscription model pricing hasn't been affected much by inflation. Otherwise today's sub fee could cost $60+ monthly. Despite this I agree with @levinano. Paying a monthly subscription becomes an issue if you really cut back your play time. I also found it problematic at times where you may want to play multiple games.

The other barrier which I think is more of an issue is getting people to try the game. Why bother paying when you have so many Free options?

ESO the laggiest game on the planet. It makes BDO servers look like they were invented for BDO. Cryodil in ESO is the press a button, go fix a sandwich and a glass of milk come back sit down swig of milk and the be excited cause your ability finally fired, of course so did the twenty people standing around you . ESO PvE is a joke with enough champion points and a set of the latest special gear drop, can do veteran dungeons with two people. And yes I have a sub and one 50 with 800 or so champion points.

The devs nerf any grind spot that will interfere with their idea of how the game should be played

    You can't escape RNG :3
With the PearlAbyss & Microsoft partnership, Microsoft has begun incorporating RNG into Windows....
Sometimes you Win-does, and sometimes you Win-don't
