It'll be short lived until players figure out and compare the cost of having fun and being viable in this game to other MMOs. So enjoy your intake of bot accounts and the few new players that joinned because game was free.
Been a long time since it looked like that, but it's always good there comes new players to the game. Wonder how long they stay, it's not everyone's MMO's style and it cost...
Or ... it is just "fake news". Like, we haven't seen in the past how this "population indicators" can be manipulated at will, anytime with no one (that means us) really knowing. A bunch of channels, mostly Olvia ones, overrun, eh? Yeah sure... While there is probably an influx of "new players" due to recent events, the whole thing smells like just an advertisement / promotion stunt. You can call this just another "conspiracy theory", whatever, just watch how it all goes to normal (virtually not even one channel crowded) after all these anni events are over. Bah, been around way too long to swallow this cheap crap...
It cost a huge amount to. While at the same time, not offering much quality content. I suspect 99.9% of the non-bot players will leave BDO before 2 months. Once they actually find out how much the game cost in terms of time and/or money. Well actually those who can't afford to play decent MMOs that have subs or are B2P w subs will more then likely continue playing BDO.
The lack of Dmg numbers will drive off at least 60% right off the bat without even a look back. Unfortunately my preferred target audience...Appealing instead to the instant gratification, rush to cash shop solution, fps styled pvp crowd. Rather then the politically/community motivated openworldpvp crowd.
dont worry, many players will certainly run away quickly from that game once they will discorver the wonderfull RNG p2w enhance system, no content other than mindless grinding etc etc..
Quite crazy really. How just $10 bars so many for w/e reason. JUST in time! When PA is getting more bold with these pearl shop gamble boxes.
if those players were not willing to spend the initial 10-20 euros price tag imagine what they will do when they find that they have to pay those same 20 euros for 1 maid, we already had something similar 10 months ago, didnt last long:
Stop Spread misinformation. You dont need to spend a penny for enjoying BDO. If you think other-wise, You are part of the problem.
LIke nearly every "free" mmo. Those kind of players are mostly gamehoppers that just pick up free games, try them out and ditch them for the next game a few months later. Sure there will be some who stay but i'd argue that if you can't even bring up 10 bucks to buy the game, your experience will probably not be the best anyways.
Considering the player numbers alone on steam doubled over the weekend, the "overrun" on olvia seems pretty accurate.
The intention isn't to sell Pearls to new players, it's to inflate their stock value with fluff numbers.
I'm sorry to call you out but, did you as a freeloader just say that paying customers are part of the problem? Did that really just happen?
